I think the way the story goes is that the team was sold, the new regime watched him suck for part of a game, benched him, and dumped him the next day.
No, same owner...Dan Schneider and his wife. Schneider is under investigation for basically what amounts to human trafficking of young women. A real scumbag.

Steelers REALLY want to draft QB Kenny Pickett in round 1 from the U of Pittsburgh. There would have been no room for Haskins. He was just going to be a "camp arm " then cut after preseason. That way they wouldnt have to pay him hardly any of his 1 year contract. Happens all the time.

You're full of it. The Steelers got Mitch Trubisky, and they had Mason Rudolph and Haskins. They weren't going for another QB on top of that.

Im not wrong Nordberg. Piitsburgh just signed Trubisky who is WAYYYYYYYYYY better than Haskins. Thats one spot. They are drafting a QB in round 1 or 2. Thats 2 spots out of the three QB spots filled. The 3rd spot is always reserved for some young developmental guy that plays for cheap because you dont pay a guy big money to NEVER play because he is 3 on the depth chart. Haskins would never have even made the team.
