Prosecutors have long opposed the death penalty for child molestation. If the molester can get death for getting caught, he might as well kill the child to eliminate the witness. His penalty will be the same.

They're all worthless. Not a single one of them wants any *real* issues addressed. They'd rather poutrage over imaginary grievances than real world problems. They save those up for shortly before elections, then promptly toss them back in the closet when the votes have been counted.

Why don't we discuss relevant and important things

like why his/her/its parents weren't sterilized

It's creepy as hell, isn't it? What makes it even more disturbing is that RW politicians have jumped on the bandwagon and are busily banning books, curtailing free speech, defunding libraries, and hoping to post "inspectors" in school and athletes' bathrooms to make sure everyone using them has the proper apparatus.
