Stewart and Colbert on "The Cancellation"

Writers generally have limited face time... Or any face time. The point of being a writer is to write, not to perform.

He should have stuck to what he knew.
Writers are comedians. The actors perform their jokes.
On that note, Franken falls flat most of the time. Writers aren't necessarily comedians either. Most screen writers take the ideas of people like comedians and turn them into scripts.

On Air America, Franken was rarely really funny. Most of the time he just came across as an angry, grating, Leftist whining about something or another. I will say he was less so than say, Ed Schulz or Randi Rhodes. Those two were hard to take of more than a few minutes at a time, at most.
