"The only way to “close” the loophole would be to end all private sales. Nothing stops an individual from buying a gun in the parking lot of a gun show, or at someone’s house. Thus the loophole the media, and politicians, speak about isn’t really tied to gun shows exactly, it is private sales."
You don't know what you are talking about. Your article are all bogus. The first guy went to a show that requires membership to buy and that membership involves a background check. The other two are obfuscation and word parsing.
From the third article you posted:
Conversely, people who are not engaged in the business of selling firearms, but who sell firearms from time to time (such as a man who sells a hunting rifle to his brother-in-law), are not required to obtain the federal license required of gun dealers or to call the CBI before completing the sale.
'people who are not engaged in the business of selling firearms' do NOT sell 348 guns in less than a year like a 'private seller' private investigators uncovered. And EVEN a private seller is required by law to turn away anyone they suspect of being a criminal, YET, 19 out of 30 private sellers made the sale AFTER being told by an investigator posing as a buyer they they "probably couldn't pass a background check"
