Should everyone have supported Bush .. either one of them?

Should everyone have supported Clinton?

How about Reagan, did you support him?

The notion that everyone should support the president is stupid as fuck and that shit sounds straight out of Hitler's Germany.

NO, NO, Hell, NO everyone does not have to support the president .. WE ARE AMERICANS .. thus we support those people who support our interests, not as some form of "patriotic duty." This shit doesn't sound any better coming from the left than it does when it comes from the right.

I was kidding.

I will support the President of the United States, as such. He is my president.

That does not, however, mean that I will agree with all his decisions or support everything he does. He is the leader of a nation of free people, at least in theory. So 100% support should never be expected.

I'll support the "Dear Leader" the same way the left supported President Bush..
Well it's nice to see you place partisanship above your country. George Washington would be proud of you.

Let's be clear. George W. Bush comitted the most immoral act as a President since Nixon and Johnson and purposefully lied and decieved the American people about the immoral act he committed and is richly deserving of all the criticism which a failed President, such as he, deserves regardless of their party affiliation. If George W. Bush was comparable as President to Eisenhower or Reagan or even Bush 1 you might have a point. As a failed President who decieved this nation into an immoral war, you dont' have a leg to stand upon. Bush is in the same league as Johnson and Nixon.

Note how ID takes a page from the Cheney/Powell playbook: "I know what I know, but I can't tell you HOW I know what I know. You just gotta trust me"...hey, if it worked for Dubya, why shouldn't it work for Righties like Alec.
