Supreme Court owes Americans explanations

why we have the 2nd Amendment
Doesn't matter it's still the threat of violence from our government that makes us comply with pretty much every law if that's our inclination. To be law abiding.

It's the 2nd that keeps the government from using said violence widely in ways we may consider an existential threat.

Article 3 does not give scotus sole authority over the constitution. It is the absolute height of stupidity to believe that the framers would create a new central government with restricted and limited powers, then hand the power to define those restrictions and limits to that very government after having just won their independence from their previous government
It's "the height of stupidity" to not think that but rather leave it unclear as to the means for interpreting the language. Article III does exactly this.

so if a law is clearly unconstitutional, it's better to simply submit and comply with a government that's operating outside the confines of it's limits? or should we be able to shoot government agents that violate our rights with impunity?

it does not. Art 3 gives the judiciary power to weigh the laws against the constitution, not interpret the constitution.

“Trump wins big on the Supreme Court's shadow docket"

“The Supreme Court has handed President Trump a slew of major victories through an abbreviated process that doesn't require full-fledged briefings and arguments — and will likely continue to do so”

The Supreme Court is suppose to offer public explanation for the legal basis of their decisions

Emergency decisions are traditionally rare, yet this Court seems eager to openly promote Trump’s agenda and without any explanation or logic.

Trump administration has applied 21 times since January. President Bush and President Obama averaged one emergency request every two years; Trump averages nearly one a week. Trump has already brought more emergency appeals to the high court than former President Biden did during his four years in office

I do think the Founding Fathers created the Judiciary Branch as major component of the Constitution’s Checks and Balances and not as a gofer for the Chief Executive

Welcome to MAGA America

That's a good question. It wouldn't be the first time citizenry has done so. We Americans may be better positioned to do so than any other population in history but it's going to have to be something so egregious that we have a majority consensus or the first wave of "insurrectionists" will be the last. Sort of like what happened in Tiananmen Square with the difference being that was the putting down of a disarmed population and if that happened here it would be more like the spark in the tinderbox. That's how important the 2nd is and I don't think most on the left have any idea about it.

The same entity that makes us pay taxes. The threat of violence against us.
So you do not care about the common good, paying for the military, police and infrastructure. If you were not a pussy about violence, you would not pay a dime and get everything the rest of us pay for for free.

The vast majority comply with reasonable laws and expenses voluntarily but we all know the threat of violence turns things from a suggestion to a law.

I do love the constitution and I am following it by going along with the supreme courts rulings. Meanwhile on THE LEFT we had people camping outside of justices homes screaming threats and profanities trying to influence their decisions by using violent rhetoric. Scumbags.
Based on your comments it appears you don’t understand the Constitution nor the principle of checks and balances it establishes

The supreme court has been a failure since Dred Scott
Disagreed, but I'll readily agree, like all humans, they are not perfect. Like Trump's SCOTUS, they can be perverted through politics.

Dred Scott was corrected like all mistakes. @NiftyNiblick, like you, see our nation as failing if not evil. I disagree with both of you.

No nation is perfect, but ours has the best record of trying to bring more good to the world. YMMV
