I leave it to individuals to identity their own path to intellectual and spiritual integrity. Plato, Kierkegaard and others thought there was something transcendent at the root of human thought and reason.

They also worship wealth and/or the appearance of great wealth. That's why there are so many TV/megachurch evangelists, all of them prospering mightily from the donations of the gullible. There is no "prosperity gospel/doctrine" in the Bible. They worship TRE45ON because they believe he's wealthy, a favored son of god, and because as you pointed out, he's trying to install Xtianity as the national religion by installing conservative ostensibly Xtian justices.

Trump is about as Christian as I am about an F18 pilot. The same is true of his followers who also pretend to be Xtian. Just the nastiness from the self-appointed Xtians on this board -- PMP, Stretch, Iewitness, Ralph, and the rest of the frauds -- shows you that they do not follow in Christ's footsteps.

If believing in god was a normal part of growing up religions would not have to ruthlessly train kids into the faith before they have the knowledge to dispute the training. The religious leaders assume the stance of authority and knowledge that smothers kids.It is cruel because fear is one of their strongest techniques. Hell scares the crap out of little kids and religious leaders have made it as scary as possible.
If you really believe your religion is factual. you can wait until a kid is old enough to make up his own mind. When he knows science and logic.
