Now I'll grant you that 3rd degree manslaughter might be a case, as Third-degree murder falls between manslaughter and second-degree murder charges. This murder is not based on having the intent to kill. Third-degree murder is often charged as a depraved heart or mind crime.
But, if everyone was getting a stomping whenever possible, then 4th degree (involuntary manslaughter) would be a viable conviction.
