A man whose grandson is also his son will spend a year in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting and impregnating his daughter 14 years ago.

Fred Lee Montgomery, 47, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor in a Lancaster County courtroom Monday morning. A judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison, but suspended all but one year.

Tiara Stevens, 27, who was only 13 years old when she gave birth to her son, said Monday she was shocked by the sentence.

"It was a slap in my face," said Stevens.

"To wait 14 years and all a person gets is 1 year? A pat on the back, telling them it's okay to molest your daughter, impregnate her, and for her to have a child, a blind child? It's ok?"

The Judge was probably a Republican and took into consideration why her body didn't shut down automatically if it was really a rape. He would have to determine if it was a "legitimate rape"? :palm:
 
Any number of reasons. Notice its a suspended sentence, so possibly the father is the only source of income for the family, first thing that comes to mind.

Not good, but really don't know all the story. In a perfect world they'd simply castrate the father, and lock him up for the next twenty years, but its not perfect.


Oh and the "legitimate rape" thing was offensive when Akin said it, at this point it's just irritating, rather similar to the big bird stuff.

If the "legitimate rape" thing was said by a drunken sports figure or a coked out celebrity then, yes, it would be best to ignore and forget. But it wasn't. It was said by a person running for public office and while those specific remarks were not indorsed by the guy running for POTUS he continued to indorse the individual who did utter those foul remarks. Irritating? It's much more than that. It's a window into the soul of the Republican party. What decent human being would be caught dead in the company of such an individual let alone endorse him for public office?

Those remarks need to be remembered and shoved in the face of every Republican who runs for office and people demanding their clear stand on rape and abortion.

On the up side the folks at Fox believe the US is changing. Immigrants. Latinos. The young people. All contributing to the change and it's glorious! As the Republican scum floats to the top it's slowly being removed.
