Sylvester Stallone’s wife on Florida move: ‘Wasn’t really anything left for me in California
Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, was ready for a major change with her husband when they decided to move from California to Florida in 2021.

Flavin spoke with Fox News Digital at the inaugural "Rocky Day" celebration this week about the couple’s relocation, saying, "It’s an incredible move, I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change."

"I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast … so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California," she continued. "A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle, I love it, I’m really happy."

She wasn’t alone in her desire for a fresh start.
In the opening scenes of his Netflix documentary, "Sly," Stallone spoke about the decision to move, saying it was beneficial to his creativity.

"I wasn’t moving because ‘Oh, wow, I wanted another beautiful view.’ Any time changing that paradigm which you become used to, it’s literally to jump-start that process again," he explained....

Jennifer Flavin: “I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States. I absolutely love it, but I just needed a change,” she said. “I felt like I've been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just be sitting in one house the rest of my life.”

There is no doubt that California is beautiful it is a shame that Democrats have ran it so badly maybe they will wake up some day.

Why would anyone want to live in California where illegals are treated better than citizens and their cities are covered with feces.

So Sly Stone's wife absolutely loves California in her own words, and she's moving for family and a change of pass.

It was interesting that she was quoted as saying crime ratesm isn't necessarily better in Florida than California

A Florida boomer said he 'can't move back to California fast enough' due to better weather and calmer lifestyle

A boomer living in Sarasota, Florida, said he can't wait to move back to California.

The former Los Angeles resident said Florida's weather and lifestyle have driven him to house hunt.

He's willing to pay more for a home and daily expenses to live more comfortably in California.
Many in Texas have serious buyer's remorse as well.

Too many assholes in Texas.

There's assholes here to, but I've lived all over the country, and on average the weather and the people here are more calm and mellow.

Coastal California has some of the best weather and scenery on the planet. The humid swamps of Florida can't really compare.

You only live once. Is anyone willing to say on their deathbed it was all worth it because they got a good deal on a house in Orlando?

Here in NC we have a lot of half backs who left the northeast for Florida, got tired of living there with the heat humidity and cockroaches so they moved halfway back, in the past few years it has sped up.

I bet it's the taxes.

California's high state income tax rates are the 49th worst in the nation. However, California taxes few services compared to other states.

You have to calculate the total financial risk, not just the part you despise

Global warming is a real thing, and Florida is going to be hit particularly hard. You have to factor in 600 dollar a month air conditioning bills nine months out of the year, expensive hurricane insurance if you can even get it. Then there's the intangibles of living on topography flat as a pancake and giving up a lot of outdoor recreation because it's deadly hot and humid.

Life isn't just about money, chap.

I hate the mosquitoes, bugs, and humidity in Florida. I will say Iiked the beaches on the Panhandle. They weren't super crowded and the water was perfect.

My wife likes to watch those house flipping shows. We laugh at the prices of homes in California. They will buy a 3000 sq ft trash heap for 700K then remodel it and sell it for 1.2 million. It's just crazy.

I live in a 4500 sq ft home on 3/4 acre treed lot in one of the most upscale neighborhoods in North Texas. I can't imagine what that would cost in California.
