SIG/SNA: The so-called Syrian Interim Government (Political Wing) and the Syrian National Army (Military Wing) supposedly represent Turkish interests in Syria.
They are reportedly armed, funded, and, more or less, commanded by the Turkish Armed Forces.
The SNA controls territory in the north of Idlib on the border with Turkey and a zone inside of Rojava.
The SNA is for all intents and purposes a proxy for the Turkish military inside of Syria and will be the most likely group to clash with the SDF due to Erdogan’s deep hatred of the Kurds.

Headed by the wanted terrorist Abu Muhammad al-Julani, HTS is reportedly responsible for most of the gains against the Assad regime and now control most of Idlib including Aleppo, the cities of Hams, Homs, and the entire coastal region to include Latakia and Tartus.
HTS is reputed to be one of the more effective fighting forces inside of Syria (due to their savagery) and controls most of the major cities and ports now.

My two main concerns over the terrorist takeover of Syria are:
1) Since 2003, every dictator that has been overthrown in the Middle East has been followed by someone worse.
2) During and just after bumbling Biden's bungled withdrawal from Kabul, the Taliban promised they had changed and were more moderate. They didn't, and they weren't. Islamists are liars.
