These rights stories are not backed up. The fact is all should be pleasantly surprised by the Taliban watching us leave in relative peace. Did any of you rightys think they would watch us line up and air evacuate? They are. You do have thousands of warriors walking around with weapons. There may be an incident. But the fact is the Taliban wants to be seen as a power to be negotiated and talked to. They are not giving it up.

This might actually work for those who want it. They can't have the whole country, but they can have part of it to make a nation of their own. Give them Texas.

I've long wanted separate nation status for New England and New York--the Northeast States of America.
It would be a nation for the present USA's intelligent and cultured people.

Joe Sixpack can have Wichita, Oklahoma City, Omaha, and that area.
He can raise plump, cornfed daughters who don't want to be hugged by handsome and educated Italian governors.
He can make sure that they're armed properly for their fundy church services too.

Like almost every Italian, I was raised Catholic but it didn't stick.
Catholics are getting to be as bad as Baptists. Look at Rick Santorum and Paul Ryan.

Secular humanism is the future for sophisticated Americans after partition.
