Target is closing 12 stores and open 32 stores in 2017 so yes liberalism is obviously paying off. Just another dishonest deplorable thread
 
Target is just another cluttered discount store chain who has lost it's way. "Tar-Zhay" is no more. No one would miss them if they all closed. Too many other places to shop for your milk and your less than fashionable clothing...

Feel free to believe in the store where you can buy your turkey, your underwear, motor oil, and then get a Starbucks on the way out. Shop until you drop. If they closed all the stores...so what?

Sales decline, profit decline?
 
Ut's a cluttered jumbled mess. They did miss sales and earning expectation at the end of 2016 Store sales down 1.5%, The 2017 projections are not promising. They can't compete with Amazon. And their other major competitor, Walmart (ugh) had a 1.8 percent increase in sales and traffic.
Target just isn't cool any more. If it ever was. Too many options. Better options. They're going to have to find a new category of customers if they want to rebound.
