And why shouldn't it be everything under the sun? Probably my favorite part of the constitution, along with the commerce clause.

Any tax that didn't directly hit the consumer. So, a national sales tax is permissible, but a head, income, or property tax wouldn't be.

Nice job at evading the question. What should we do then to protect ourselves from the dealers and distributer of the most dangerous drug in the word? Kill them? Imprison them? Tax them out of business? Let them do business as ussuall and let millions of people die so a handfull of Republicans can make some money? Come on, you tell me, what's the right thing to do instead of evading my question.

personally, I think they should all be tried for accessories to murder. it's the chemicals they mix in the tobacco that kills people. and lets be real here, just republicans?
 
Plain tobacco is bad. No doubt.

However I expect that once smoking is gone and the "smoking related" deaths continue there will be some head scratching going on.
