Teen Charged With Fatal DUI After Passenger Dies

Raleigh, NC -- A high school student is charged with felony drunken driving after a weekend crash killed his 17-year-old passenger.

Raleigh police say the 16-year-old driver lost control of his Jeep sport utility vehicle about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, ran off the road and struck a tree. A report says the Jeep was traveling 75 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Uhhhh how will stircter laws help? The kid was underage to begin with.

Dude it doesn't work like that. If it cannot be shown with death penalty (and all data thus far confirms it doesn't) then raising the punishment on a already flawed system certainly won't help.
