I am dismissing Tom, not the case oh great and judgemental one.

This thread has nothing to do with the case and everything to do with US bashing by a paid shill of BP.

Perhaps when you are more aware of the players involved, you will be able to make sounder judgements.

pretty much, just like the 2nd Amendment, 4th Amendment, 5th Amendment, and most likely all the others. The majority of our population (read that as democrats and republicans) are quite willing to throw away everyone elses rights in the face of their own safety, as long as they feel that it won't affect their rights.

I post on this site; I'm fully "aware of the players". And what I can tell you is that Tom's force-feeding you the realities of this country. Sure, you may say its better than GBR, but even if that's true (which I won't get into), using it to diminish our government's sins in ridiculous.

No, you clearly are not aware. If you were, you would know that the interactions between Tom and I are about Tom and I, not the topic at hand.
Further, if you think I mean to dimminish our governments sins, you are sadly misinformed, about me in the very least.
I suggest you find an actually guilty party against which to cast your aspersions.
 
About two years ago, I posted the music video for Rebecca Black's godawful Friday music video. One guy wrote that he'd "like to donkey punch her." Thankfully, this crazy sailer I went to HS with did not get arrested. This sort of comment would even make Damo squirm. I told hum that was twisted because Black was a whopping 13 years old, and he stood by his comment.

The irony is, I studied a great deal about John Adams for my thesis in college. He had been raised to worship the English Constitution, second to God. He concluded that his beloved framework had failed because it was a tradition, which could essentially be interpreted away by corrupt men. He argued that written constitutions were a remedy, and got the ball rolling on state constitutions during the Revolution. He did so much research, he ultimately influenced not only the state framers who asked him for advice, but the national one itself.

Poor Adams did not forsee the problems we have today. Well, he did help them out, by signing the Sedition Act
