One gross miscalculation by Obama was the theory of 'Arab Spring'.

Some places simply cannot support democracy. With so many tribes in a nation, it's impossible to get a representative govt. that can get along.

It completely disgusts me that anyone could talk so casually about leaving troops there indefinitely - as though it's the same as our presence in Germany or Japan.

No, I'm a realist. If you are differentiating between the US occupying Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, among other places for decades--nearly a century now--and Afghanistan, the only reasonable explanation is you're a racist or an elitist.

That's absurd. Afghanistan is NOTHING like those other countries. Even when we were there, the government and situation was FAR from stable.

Would you have traveled there, and spent a few weeks on a vacation? Yes or no to that. No spin.
