Just a little information for you on the gestational age.of abortions in the US.

According to their data...only 1.5% of all abortions occur after 21 weeks....most of them occurring at 13 weeks or earlier.

Also...according to the information provided....partial and live birth abortions occurs after that 21 weeks....24-36, IIRC.

So...1.5%....or approximately 18k abortions NATIONWIDE that occur at that late of a stage...add three more weeks onto that to get it to 24 weeks(the low end of the partial birth spectrum...according to the website) and the number would actually be even smaller...so I have to ask....how many of THOSE abortions are medically necessary to save the mother's life, or because the risk is to great for the mother?

This Giants game in the 15th inning with a drunk Cawacko probably isn't safe for anyone. This needs to be on the list.

????.....what justice is being given the dead children......is the mother the arbiter of justice?.......you seem to think this is only about religious issues and salvation......this isn't about the afterlife, this is about life......
 
Can I just say thanks to Steelplate? In spite of his personal objection to abortion, he's able to see it's about choice; it's about not making others follow HIS religious opinion; he even pointed out how few abortions occur after 21 weeks and that late term abortions are about a mother's health/life. I would add late-term abortions also happen when a fetus is so damaged that it won't live outside the womb, or not for long. Babies without brains, things like that.

personally, i would never have an abortion

being male, i do not think it is any of my business what a woman decides to do regarding abortion unless i am asked.

a woman may have a number of good reasons for having an abortion. i would suggest that she talk with her doctor regarding medical reasons and/or her spiritual counselor / psychological counselor regarding other reasons (rape, incest etc.)

there are a few prolife organizations that put their money where their mouth is and will provide pre-natal, natal and post natal care and should the Mother decide that she cannot raise the baby, will put her in touch with people that want to adopt a baby. fyi, some adoptions may be open adoptions. an open adoption is where another couple raises the baby with the help (however limited) of the birth mother. the birth mother still has to give up her parental rights, but the child is allowed to know that it is adopted and that the birth mother cares for the child.
