The 11 Million Lie

No Mexican is going to pay for the wall, ever

The money we will make from the new trade deal will pay for it. That money will come from Mexico. So Mexico will pay for it. This isn't rocket science. It's basic economics. And need I remind you, America is now an economic giant, thanks to Trump.

A tariff on cars made in Mexico is paid by American consumers; or, they choose not to buy those cars because they are too expensive. Either way, Mexico is not paying.

What do you mean by "tax money transfers?"

Tax wire transfers from the US to Mexico ..... Average money wired to Mexico is $300 14 times a year

That money usually goes to the families of Mexicans working in the U. S. If you prohibited those transfers the money would not go to the wall.

Um .... No we just tax those wire transfers .... They are in the 10's of Billions ! Wall paid for !

Mexicans earned that money in the U. S. and would be taxed by the U. S. government. That makes it U. S. tax dollars, not Mexico, paying for the wall.

I think we would see some new methods developed to send that money back to Mexico including vehicles legally crossing the border.

That money made in the US is being sent to Mexico .... Taxing it means Mexico doesn't get as much .

And that money has already been taxed by the US ....

Duh !

No way the Mexicans would send money thru the postal system in Mexico .... It's totally corrupt .

Mexican families do not get as much--very little of that would go to the Mexican government. I agree about the Mexican postal system, but workers make trips home regularly and could take it with them. They would have to tax the payments at 10% to get enough for the wall. The Mexican government getting less money does not mean Mexico is paying for the wall--it is still being paid for by U. S. taxes.

Mexicans DO NOT make " trips home regularly " ..... Taxing Mexican workers pay by a tax on wire transfers to Mexico doesn't cost the US money ... It costs Mexico money .

Hello !

Hello !

It costs Mexico money but that money does not pay for the wall. U. S. taxes pay for the wall (if ever funded). And it does not cost the Mexican government money because that money is spent by the families for living expenses--poor families owe little taxes. Mexican workers returning home have to be careful because their money is seized by civil forfeiture as possible drug money.

Taxing wire transfers to Mexico ... Will pay for the wall .

Hence Mexico gets less money from the US .

Am I dealing with a mental disorder here ?

Mexico getting less money from the U. S. is not the same thing as Mexico paying for the wall.

If fewer American tourists travel to Mexico it gets less money from the U. S., but that doesn't mean they are paying for the wall. American taxes are still paying for it.

Yes, I think you may be dealing with a mental disorder. You have some real need to convince yourself Mexico is going to pay for the wall.

If the US gets $1.00 of tax on every wire transfer to Mexico .... The wall will be paid for by Mexico .

Hello !

Hello !

Even if we took all $70 billion of the remittances the U. S. would still have a trillion dollar deficit which means the U. S. would have to borrow to pay for any wall. Borrowing is paid by the U. S. taxpayers. A 10% tax on remittances would reduce the deficit by $6 billion, but we still have to borrow the remaining trillion.

Mexicans sent home $26.1 billion from January to November 2017, according to figures released Tuesday by the central bank of Mexico. That's the most ever recorded and better than the $24.1 billion sent in 2016 over the same period

Yes " borrow " which means we get paid back .....

The 11 million lie. There’s way more illegal immigrants in the United States than the government has been telling us. The 11 million number is more and more being challenged and the following shows research from Yale University.

And now there’s 4 thousand more Central Americans headed for the southern border as I type.
If the Democrats take the Congress in next month’s election, you can kiss any and all attempts by Trump to build the wall or get immigration reform goodbye!

The undocumented population in the United States could be twice as large as the most commonly-used estimate, according to a research study published Friday in the scientific journal Plos One.
The paper, led by Mohammad M. Fazel-Zarandi, a researcher at Yale and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, estimates there are 22.1 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
Fazel-Zarandi's study compared inflows and outflows of immigrants as well as demographic data. According to the report, the number of undocumented immigrants could be as low as 16.5 million, or as high as 29.1 million.

Are you scared little guy!

:chicken:

Who do you think is paying us back?

The U. S. government has to pay back the bonds it sells when it borrows money plus the interest on those bonds. "We" get paid back with our own taxes.
