Maybe. Trump tried to cheat in two elections and 90% of the Republican Party stood behind him. If Republicans took over congress, and Trump decided to make one of his idiot children the next president without an election, how many congresspeople would oppose him? Would it be enough to stop him? I'm guessing not.

If you recall, initially the Republicans stood against Trump...then they realized he was like a six-year old with a loaded gun....situation which, although strongly disliked, needs to be respected. As you should recall, those Republicans in the 2018 election who didn't kiss Trump's fat ass, or, worse, stood against him became unemployed in 2019. Ironically, a partial reason why the Democrats took the House.

The only reasons the Republicans stood against Trump is because they thought he would lose the election. This just shows that all Republicans care about is power. The moment Trump became president, they all fell in like like good Fascists.

I think reasonable, intelligent adults who actually voted in that election know that the Republicans were not happy about Trump's election and stood against him several times. Then, it became clear leading up to November 2018, there was a lot more marching in step. Afterwards, not a peep of conflict by a severely cowed Republican party....which is now dead. Now there is only the Party of Trump.

Exactly. And if Trump is willing to cheat in elections, and the Republicans are willing to defend him when he does, does anyone really believe that they wouldn't stand by Trump's decision to eliminate elections?
I don't like Biden or the DNC, but this isn't about Biden vs Trump. This is about Democracy vs Fascism.
