The difference now is the gulf between news and the b.s. on the Internet and talk shows, a difference that scarcely existed twenty years ago but now dominates our information culture. Real journalism is still here, it's just not
read anywhere near as much as it used to be read. The irony is so many of those hooked on "alternative" news sources think they are seeing or reading the real thing.
