The art of the deal - Trump walks, NoKo wants talks

Another example of total lack of experience, and not even attempting to learn.

^Internet loser thinks he can lecture a Billionaire, Best selling author and President. STFU moron. :rol2:

Your only experience appears to be whining and removing any doubt you're a moron. :rofl2:

It's a waste of time ... and allows Kim to stall even longer.

The only reason for them to meet, is to sign an, already hashed out, agreement. IMO.

I strongly disagree; diplomacy is NEVER a waste of time. History has taught us that we should never ignore tyrants. Apparently there is more learning to do.

Kim is hamstrung.

Stalling will just prolong his misery. Again, he *offered* to meet Trump for a reason: namely, that the sanctions are crippling him. He may have army but the army needs to eat. Whatever military capacity he has, it needs to fuel to operate. One of the reasons Kim gets so pissy about joint military exercises around the Peninsula is that it forces him to use precious fuel and resources to counter them.

Trump just needs to keep the sanctions on him and he will fold—or be taken out by his own generals.

And war is just diplomacy, by another name.

Decades of diplomacy have taught us that the Kims don't negotiate in good faith.

China need to keep the sanctions on him.

KIm offered to meet ... then blew off the meeting.
:dunno:

Apparently, Kim is not willing to offer the necessary concessions that would close the deal.

Trump needs China’s help with sanctions and he’s getting it.

I don’t know what Kim is willing to offer or not offer. Let him and Trump meet so we can find out.

The unintended consequences of war with NK range into the unthinkable.

This isn’t Libya or Iraq. China is in the picture.

Isn't that the secretary of state job?

Trump is negotiating publicly ... for all the world to see ... and judge.

I don't see where a presidential in person meeting will change anything, ... unless it is to sign an agreement.

I hear rumblings that China may have eased sanctions recently.

China has always been the key. If war erupts, the blame falls squarely on Pres. Xi. IMO.

Noko exists, not because of its recently acquired nuke status, ... but, always, because of China's military protection.

No; war is the result of failed diplomacy.

I agree; and it doesn't mean we don't keep trying, but now, with stronger force as Trump is attempting to apply.

No, war is an extension of diplomacy.

So 2 decades of U.S. presidents being played is not enough for you.

Mr. Trump has made his offer clear. Concede to verifiable denuclearization ... or ... I'll bomb the fuck out of you.

Interesting. Can you link to any reports you've seen, Bigdog?

From Mar. 02

"A Japanese foreign ministry statement said a Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force aircraft spotted a North Korean-flagged tanker alongside the Xin Yuan 18, a Maldivian-flagged tanker, in the East China Sea, 250km east of Shanghai, late on Saturday night. The statement on Tuesday said Japan “strongly suspects that they conducted ship-to-ship transfers banned by UNSCR.”

The Maldives Democratic Party, an opposition political party in Maldives, said in a statement Thursday that the Xin Yuan 18 is registered in the Maldives and that “it is believed that the vessels were exchanging crude oil, in violation of UN sanctions on North Korea.”

I'm assuming Xin Yuan is not a Maldivean name.

Very suspicious, Bigdog. Thanks for confirming.

Trump needs this meeting more than North Korea does.

Kim has his whole life to play his games with the US.
Trump has already run out of time.
