Richard Nixon, Al Gore and Hillary Clinton all believed they were cheated out of the Presidency. Their post election claims of fraud and other illegalities were similar to Trump's. But none argued the election wasn't over. Rather, for the good of the nation they publicly conceded. And the nation went peacefully forward.

Yesterday, while being led from the courtroom after receiving a ten year prison sentence, Proud Boy Dominic Pezzola shouted, "Trump won!" Trump lost, lost to a Constitutionally certified winner and Pezzola is paying for what he did in failing to recognize that difference.

Why should someone admit a fraudulent election was over. Isn't a fraud free election actually in the best interest of the country? Why should we just allow elections to be stolen?

That is addressed in the opening post. Read it. And she said it in 2019, three years after the election.

Probably a greater interest of the county is the peaceful conclusion to a Presidential election. Besides, Trump had no reason to believe the election was stolen and plenty of reason to believe it wasn't. He had been behind in the polls, and been behind for months. On election eve his campaign staff told him the outlook was grim. In Vegas, the odds were on Biden. Before claiming an election was stolen you better have the evidence and Trump had none, as his dozens of failed post election lawsuits made clear. Even if he had the evidence a better man would have done what Gore did.

Trump did have one thing going for him - a large segment of the country that would believe whatever he said.

Obviously a coup is not in the best interest of the country and even Trump didn't claim a coup, an orchestrated overthrow of the election. See if you can answer the post instead of running away from it.

Trump proved the election was fair and honest. He made claims and they were all resolved. The Repub and Dem secretaries of states did what Trump asked. He was given more recounts than any candidate ever had. He went to court over 60 times and lost them all because he could show zero evidence that he won. It showed all thinking people that Trump lost a fair election. You would have to be stubbornly stupid not to get the message.

AN idiot is the person who thinks Trump can bring 60+ court cases, most in front of Trump judges, that fail and Trumps own lawyers go in to court stating 'we are not claiming any fraud took place'.

An idiot is the person who thinks Trump getting on the phone and speaking to AG's and Governors who VOTED FOR HIM and wanted him to win but say ,'we've done more recounts and verifications on this election then any other and you are just wrong, there is no fraud'.

To believe Trumps rigged claims is the the height of derp when you can absolutely predict it now for 2024. If Trump loses the GOP it will suddenly be rigged. If he loses the 2024 election it will be rigged. We can state Trump will say that with absolute certainty as he always does. EVERYTIME.

It is a dumb question that misses the point on numerous levels.

- yes she publicly conceded.
- a person merely believing and stating they won, as they concede is not an issue. People can believe and say what they want, even crazy stuff
- none of Gore, Hillary or Stacey held the power of the office they are seeking so there was no question of a Peaceful transfer to the 'winner'
- Trump was POTUS and when a current office denies a rightful result with lies that is challenging the peaceful transfer of power and is a problem for the Constitution.
- When Trump took actions to act upon the lies and to try and steal the election that is a problem for the courts.


So this issue is being treated like the 'why is Trump being charged for Gov't doc's when Pence and Biden are not' stupid derp arguments where they IGNORE the things Trump did different (lied under oath, obstructed Justice for docs, took action to steal election) are the reason in both cases he faces legal peril and others do not.
