You aren't a Christian, why are you insulted?![]()
You know something, I'm really sick and tired of these morons every Christmas season coming out with their God hating garbage trying their best but failing every year trying to spoil everybody's Christmas with their anti theist, atheist propaganda. Some people actually feel sorry for them. Not me, I think they're vermin with a 0 tolerance level for any God fearing Christian or anyone who believes in the reason for the season.
We are the ones who are tolerant of them, year after year, Christmas season after Christmas season. They are the ones with 0 tolerance for us.
The poor little babies are soooo offended that they have to be annoyed by our religious celebrations.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
interesting philosophical take on Genesis & Herbert Spencer’s theorumYou continue to believe "somebody" is trying to force you to do something against your will. Don't portray yourself as such a victim. Believe what you want. I am merely answering your questions...we're having a type of conversation here, not a power struggle.
Only at God's direction can the Holy Spirit enter your heart and convince you of the truth of his Word. If you refuse, then you refuse. It's a matter between you and God, not you and me.
Anyway, as to science here's a brief paraphrase of what my German grandfather explained to me a long time ago. He was a Lutheran minister and also taught physics at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh in the early 1900's.
Science deals with a matrix when we’re talking about natural science. We’re talking about the way things are in a material universe, there is a matrix of things. You have to have matter, you have to have force, you have to have energy, you have to have space and you have to have time. That is Herbert Spencer’s great achievement, he died in 1903, he said, "Everything in the universe can be deposited in one of these categories…time, force, action, space and matter." Force and action comprising energy. There has to be time, there has to be energy which is force and action, there has to be space, and there has to be matter.
Those five things which he defined in that order are all in Genesis 1, "In the beginning"…that’s time…"God"…that’s force…"created"…that’s action…"the heavens"…that’s space…"and the earth"…that’s matter." The matrix is in Genesis 1:1 and is a profound scientific statement. The universe in essence is a matrix of space, time, matter, and energy. And all of it has to be existing at the same conflux. It all has to come together or none of it exists. One cannot exist without the other. The entire continuum must have existed simultaneously from the beginning. That is why you find it all in Genesis 1:1, it all had to be there. Science says it has to be there and Scripture says it is there.
Exactly; "......or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Who shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion...the states, the people? No....the FEDERALIST CONGRESS...that would effect the entire nation. As the constitution is a contract among the states/people to list the things that the CENTRAL GOVERNMENT cannot do....a list of negative rights. One of those restraints is called the "free exercise clause". There are no qualifiers or restrictions placed upon free exercise....except that it can't be abridged by any law from the congress of the United States.
There is no WALL separating any State or Local government from any church of the peoples choosing. If a wall exists why is God mentioned in all state constitutions? The only constitution where you will find a wall of separation between church and state existing in writing? The constitution of the former USSR.

I don't believe in Christmast....as its an invention of the early Roman Catholic Church, just like Easter. I defy anyone to find a mention of Christmast or Easter in the Holy Bible the very source of Christian doctrine. But both are American Traditions and I'd never think of robbing my child or any child in America of celebrating either traditional American Holiday....if someone wants to define those traditions as religious in nature they have that right under the "....free exercise clause"...and no one has the right to stop any display of that FREE PROTECTED SPEECH. As Christians are public property owners as well as any other tax payer. Any attempt to prevent that freedom of exercise is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Right...that's why there is no "establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"...there are no laws forcing anyone to abide by any specific religion...we can all express our faiths as we choose. We do not live in a theocracy. This is not a Muslim-only run or atheist-only run country. I never understood the problem. Let everybody peaceably enjoy their expression of chosen faith.
If you don't celebrate Christmas, then be happy with your choice and move along and enjoy your life.
I don't know about that. He wrote "trying to spoil everybody's Christmas with their anti theist, atheist propaganda..."
I take that to mean he's against their visual or vocal criticisms of Christmas.
Do I mind it? Yes.......but I choose not to give that much power to other people to rule my life with attempts to rob me of my God-given peace. I do not fear what people say or may do to me, I fear the One who will pass judgment.
"What you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the housetops. I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who, after you have been killed, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!"
Luke 12:3-5
