Fox explained it in the Dominion trials. Fox was telling lies to the viewers who wanted to hear those lies and nothing else. The talking heads knew they were lying. The station was predicated on feeding right-wing lies to the LCD.
The Repubs are on the wrong side of abortion, the environment, and guns. Many of those coming of voting age were in school shootings. They were doing active shooter drills. They did not like that.
They are also not bigoted like the Repubs are. The majority do not want to punish gays and trans.
They are also pro choice.

Cable news has never been big, but now even cable is collapsing. Many people do not watch cable anymore. Most of the young do not.
Even in its heyday, how many people would watch a cable news opinion show at primetime. Primetime was when normal people watched entertainment. So that was an unimportant niche market. Then cable news in general was a niche market. Finally, cable TV is becoming a niche market.
It is important to remember that old people quite literally die. This is not a figurative thing.
The way it usually works is that the conservatives of one generation die, and then the liberal ideas of the next generation become the new conservative ideas. For instance, it would be nearly impossible to reassert the conservative anti-interracial marriage idea, and it is becoming impossible to reassert the conservative anti-same sex marriage idea.
Thomas Jefferson died two years before the founding of the Democratic Party, so he had no opinion on them. It was founded from the Democratic-Republican Party that Thomas Jefferson had founded, so they lauded him, not hated him.
Burr was never a Democrat. He was a Democratic-Republican, but did not make the cross over to the Democrats. Burr was out of politics by the time the Democrats were founded.
By the way, Burr was not convicted of treason. He was actually acquitted.
It was the immediate ancestor of the Democratic Party, and was called at the time the Democratic Republican Party. It was shortened to the Republican Party, but was in no way connected to the modern Republican Party.

The democrat party arose out of the splintering of the Democratic Republicans as early as 1820, with Aaron Burr and Andrew Jackson the standard bearers. In the 1824 election, Jackson was defeated by Adams, who had the backing of Jefferson. Jackson used the press to call Jefferson a "scoundrel" and a "damned Republican." This showed the schism between the emerging party of slavery and despair, and Jeffersons Republicans.
Burr was one of the founders of the shameful democratic party. He HATED Jefferson after losing the presidency to him.
Marshall let Burr go, but there was never any doubt of his guilt. He then went to Spain and cooked up a plot to invade and overthrow Florida. Burr was a total scumbag - a perfect democrat. Burr was so crooked he could have been Joe Biden, but a much smarter version.

This is completely false. Fox crushes many non news shows also for instance the Mark Levin show at 8 pm averages 2.3 million viewers per night which beats about 30% of all sitcoms or dramas.
Law and order svu averages 4 million per episode so cable news is thriving and if you got this little fact wrong it means the rest of your post is probably wrong also.
