Just a bit of history, for comparison. Back in the early Nineteenth Century it was standard here, when people were starving, for orators to cry sadly, 'All we want is bread'. Everyone applauded, then the soldiers started shooting. In Merthyr in 1830 the usual orator said the usual, but the crowd shouted 'Caws gyda fara' (cheese with the bread), meaning we want a bit more than that, matey, and when the soldiers fired, the crowd fired back and chased the buggers off, taking over the town for two days. I can assure you, it was a bloody sight more effective, like the Ton-y-Pandy 'riots' in 1910. If you want change, better kick, and kick hard!

Fanatics never look very far past their own noses. While Cubans are certainly a voting block, most, if not all, would never want to return to Cuba. Any idea how many support making Puerto Rico a state?

The egregious error here is that Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA stand by for orders from the DNC, not from Trump. Trump has no ability to cause looting and rioting, only the DNC does. Trump supporters don't loot, riot, topple statues, hate America, hate capitalism, hate all of humanity and seek to destroy all that is good on the earth ... only Leftists do all that, and Leftists are all wating on bent knee for marching orders from the DNC.

A separate 2020 survey found that "The majority of Democrats showed support for statehood for both D.C. (61.8%) and Puerto Rico (69.7%)" while among Republicans, only 26.7% supported D.C. statehood and 34.8% supported Puerto Rican statehood.

That's how all cold, heartless terrorist organizations start. You left off the rest of the story. Those people who were pretending to only want food were merely spouting propaganda to get obedient crows to attack law enforcement and to drive them away. Once that happens, they turn to the obedient masses and announce their "new" mission in order to continue the "revolution" ... and it always involves violence and blood and destruction and ultimately tyranny.

The Puerto Rican people have to pass a referendum requesting statehood. The president has to approve the request and Congress has to pass it.

Won’t happen, Snowflake.

So you want statehood for P.R. solely for political reasons, not the wellbeing of the Puerto Rican people.

You must be a Democrat...who always puts the party ahead of the people.

I am against making DC a state for the very same reason the Founders were against it. If the city citizens want to make it a state, give the land back to Maryland and Virginia.
