It isn't. It has a long way to go to get through Congress. But it's worth it. The Save Act is a good bill.

No, Gunky. Paying for ID is for the ID, not to vote. A Real ID, for example, is also used as a driver's license. An ID is required to open a bank account, drive a car on public roadways, fly or maintain an aircraft, captain a ship beyond a certain size or for hire, get hired as a casino dealer (and most other places!), obtain a gun permit, obtain an explosives handling or manufacturing license, travel internationally (passports and visas), etc. You have to pay for each of these licenses.

None of them are a poll tax.
