reward personal irresponsibility, penalize personal responsibility, soft on crime , and gubmint intrusion have always been mainstays. Green New Deal, globalism, blind eye to illegal immigrants and now war and nation building have become dem linchpins.
Capacity is nothing without productivity.
You can increase capacity, sure, but if you don't have the personnel, then you just wasted all those resources.
This is why almost every single Conservative business fails, because of supply-side dogma.
In 50 years of trickle down economics, not once has increasing the supply ever improved the economy.
If you are happy with a nationwide pandemic that is killing hundreds, if not thousands of people a week, then you have some pretty low standards.
Remind me, who was it who sued to get rid of the individual mandate in Obamacare?

Remind me, who is it who is trying to ban talk of racism from schools, who is it who wants to put cameras in every classroom, who is it who wants to tell people who they can and can't marry, and who is it who wants to criminalize what a woman does with her own body?

So your and my friends regardless of politics are all generally happy. And at large, no, Republicans are rancorous and depressed to the point of raising arms.
Dems are working within the system to try and change issues regarding race and wealth disparity. Your party is working without the system to maintain an unjust status quo.

Once I’m anointed King I will raise taxes on everybody and cut spending including the military. The country will go into a deep recession if not a depression but it’s the price we have to pay for our past sins. We’ll be better off in the long run. It’ll take about two generations. The national debt is nothing more than a scorecard tally of government spending.
So we have $28T in debt, but what do we have to show for it? Well, we have infrastructure, we have Medicare, we have Social Security, we have a military, we have vaccines, etc.
Now, reasonable people can disagree over whether any of that stuff was worth the money we spent; but everyone can agree that spending trillions on tax cuts for the rich isn't worth the debt those tax cuts incur.
This fixation on the debt by certain people is a tell; they know they can't come up with policies or beliefs that people like and agree with, so instead, they fly planes of tax cuts into the budget, then cry about the deficits those tax cuts created.
That is fiscal terrorism, and it Conservative orthodoxy.
