The GOP Outrage Machine

Darla isn't an idiot. she is simply playing Cypress2.1 today. It is the only explanation for her commentary on how the troops wouldn't be harmed from a vote on the Armenian resolution...

Hey stupid. If the troops were harmed it would be the turks fault. If you think allowing our congress to be manipulated by foreign powers is smart, then you're not smart. You're starting to sound like a liberal. 'Come on guys, words are harmful'. Pussy.

Umm if the troops are harmed it would be Bush's fault for sending them over there. Kinda like sending kiddies into the swamp and then complaining about the evil gators...

The 12 year old was who the Democrats chose to hide behind to convey their message, so who exactly would you have liked them to respond to instead? Pelosi? Reid?

Let me tell you what I think, the whole point of USING a kid was that the left was hoping that no one would dare to challenge what he said because he's a kid. Boohoo it didn't work, so save your own "outrage" over them responding...

Leave it to Dano, the guy that has threatened to "out" people that post on this board to their bosses, to be incapable to distinguishing between "responding" to the substance of a political debate and all out war on a 12 year old and his family.

Color me not surprised.

I love this part the best:

"Pumped up from their recent skirmish with a sick 12-year-old, enraged armchair warriors spring into action!"

It's so great.
Does sort of remind you of Dano, don't it? Still, I like one of the following bits even better. It helps to cast one of the characters yourself:

AssHat: So would you say your treasonous toddler hates America with a burning passion and longs for the imposition of the caliphate?

Distraught mother: What's wrong with you people? Why won't you leave us alone?

AssHat: Hey -- if the M.S.M. won't ask the tough questions -- somebody has to!
I do sometimes wonder if Tom Tomorrow doesn't lurk around here from time to time. ;)

Good cartoon. I'm sort of thinking about Nazi Germany before everyone noticed that Hitler was really serious and some parts of Nineteen Eighty-Four, "Hate Week" springs to mind. Either way it's a fine illustration of how easy it is to manipulate humans, we're like putty.
