You might as well inject yourself with magic fairy dust as with Tamiflu. It will be 4 - 6 months before there is flu protection that works.
And dont panic, but we know how Americans love panicking, just be careful and increase your personal hygiene habits.
The reason for the international caution is that we 'think' (no one can be 100% sure) that the precautionary measures we took during SARS helped to eradicate the disease. There were other factors too, such as climate temperature but since no one can be really certain it is as well to take care.
However if Americans want to do the headless chicken two step or stand at their front doors with guns at the ready let them do it.

If this is truly a "pandemic" then Napolitano is even more stupid than her Terrorists come from Canada comments would underline, if it is really just an off-season flu that will run a regular course then she is doing the right thing.

I think they refuse to control the border for this, because if they did it would prove that they not only could do it, but they could do it effectively.

If it reaches pandemic proportions, and many die in the US because of their inaction, the total lack of any sort of action by this Administration will reach Katrina levels for Bush...

Well, to be fair to the idiots in DC.... it is kind of hard to 'save us' from the PANDEMIC!!!!!! if they do things that prevent cases from popping up in the US. You see, by stopping all flights to and from Mexico, how would anyone else get sick enough for them to 'save'???
