Republicans who favored the fight against non existent 'voter fraud' are fighting against having a way to ensure our elections are not hacked by Russians.

Look at all the Democrats who signed on to this bill, and not a single Republican.

Republicans should have taken the lead on this.

What's wrong with Republicans any more?

Republicans now appear to be anti-American.

I thought it was America first, not Russia.
 
Without some kind of physical evidence or some way to prove a vote was cast by a real person, how can you really verify the vote wasn't tampered with in some way?
I don't know what the solution is. I keep hearing about 'hackers' stealing millions from Banks, how hard would it be for 'hackers' to create chaos in the Voting arena?
 
Maybe it would be OK to have computerized voting machines as long as they are not connected to the internet.

I don't see why they have to be on the internet. That makes a pathway from our voting machines to hackers.

If they are completely independent and not connected there is no way to hack them.

But it still bothers me that they could be programmed with sneaky code, like a time bomb.

Paper ballots can't lie.
 
In 2006, a movie "Hacking Democracy" was made showing how easy it is to hack the voter machines. They are easy to hack and some insiders claimed they were made that way on purpose. One of Diebolds programmers said he was instructed to make the machines work in favor of the Republicans.

The head of Diebold made a speech to his employees said their mission was to deliver the election to Bush. You are wrong if you think it was to provide an accurate and speedy count.


Before the voting machines were installed, election polls were very accurate. The exit polls were super accurate. The networks were asked to hold the election results til California closed their polls because the presidential elections were called before that. Since then, exit polling does not work. Odd. I saw one of the exit polling mathematicians explaining how it worked and why they were reliable. But he said they were greatly increasing the exit polling data and there was no way the math could fail. It did.

We use exit polling in foreign nations to determine whether their elections are fixed. They are bedrock to that determination. They just don't work in America anymore.

That's kind of interesting. Who manufactures the Voting machine controls the 'Vote'. I wonder if we bought voting machines from Russia or China if they would be rigged?
Paper Ballots is really time consuming and probably expensive.

Paper ballots, counts and recounts. Sometimes the tried and true method is best.

Can you guess why Repubs are pushing machines that can not be checked? What would happen if we actually checked the programming on them and found out they were being controlled by Repubs?

why wouldn't Bernie raise money for the down ballot democratic candidates ?

No one knows how many Republicans that own homes in more than one state, are not mailing in Votes in Federal ELECTIONS in every state they have property- AND NO SYSTEM CURRENTLY IN PLACE TO CATCH IT OR PREVENT IT!
 
I remember thinking that the cries for automation were an overreaction to hanging chads in Floriduh. Now I can't even keep track of where people stand on the issue...
