For those that lived long enough to see that. Many didn't, Fuckface.
Most just got fucked over until they died. All had 18 or more years in and were forced into a diminished early retirement with a lot less pay.
I know one guy that had that done to him, and he never saw it righted, he died 3 years before they did that.
A Vietnam vet he was, and he stayed enlisted for a long time. He was a "Tunnel Rat" in Vietnam.
Not a nice job. Somehow he lived. He never lived to see the fucking over of his paycheck by Gramm-Rudman get righted, though.
