Because most of them aren't really liberal or have any ideology, they just hide their sexual fetish normalization campaigns behind a veneer of 'progressivism'. Every single Republican and 51 Democrats voted in favor.

158 Democrats opposed it.

The bill targeted pedophiles, ensuring they couldn’t stay in the U.S.

Why would anyone vote to keep sex criminals here who prey on children?
