If we can, why shouldn't we?
interesting. I'dlike to see the Jefferson quote .
Not their words governing us today, but the structure ( balance of powers) remains the law of the land.
We're so far gone when you study this stuff it's absolutely shocking how far we have drifted to the point of limitless fed'l expansion
interesting quote BAC. It appears at first glance to be about "passing along debt" from a person to their heirs.Every constitution, then, and every law, naturally expires at the end of nineteen years. If it be enforced longer, it is an act of force, and not of right. It may be said, that the succeeding generation exercising, in fact, the power of repeal, this leaves them as free as if the constitution or law had been expressly limited to nineteen years only. In the first place, this objection admits the right, in proposing an equivalent. But the power of repeal is not an equivalent. It might be, indeed, if every form of government were so perfectly contrived, that the will of the majority could always be obtained, fairly and without impediment. But this is true of no form. The people cannot assemble themselves; their representation is unequal and vicious. Various checks are opposed to every legislative proposition. Factions get possession of the public councils, bribery corrupts them, personal interests lead them astray from the general interests of their constituents; and other impediments arise, so as to prove to every practical man, that a law of limited duration is much more manageable than one which needs a repeal." --Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1789. Then no generation can contract debts greater than may be paid during the course of it’s own existence.

Jefferson appears to be making the point one cannot be born in debt.

#notmypresident
Hillary's not my president lol.
what a reassuring thought!Hillary's not my president lol.
When Republicans say that about blacks, I bet you call them racist.Hey, if women are stupid enough to vote against their own interests, they'll have to live with the consequences.
trump is a liar unparalleled, to compare his lies to anyone's is farcical.
For all the world to see.

I like her. I didn't like it when people made fun of her weight, she is not fat by any means or her looks. She is a nice looking lady.yeah and i don't agree with people bashing michelle. she's like one of the least controversial people to be upset about
He is exactly his right wing counter part and sees nothing morally wrong with that. His attitude will keep our nation divided by hate.two wrongs don't make a right. be a part of the solution, not the ongoing problem
They did it too.We agree .. but that still didn't stop the right from their gutter politics.
Thanks for keeping us in the gutter you hypocritical ass.Sorry brother .. I'm not at all interested in weak-kneed politics or anything else.
It's called, 'what goes around, comes around.'
Republicans, who have spent 8 years in the gutter, should have no problem with it .. but they will.
You have to be trolling.I think we should keep the electoral college. Just uncivilized flyover states like Wisconsin shouldn't get any electors. Only NYC, California, Virginia, Massachusetts, etc... should get a vote. If people in Iowa want control over the most powerful position in the world, they should go produce the next Google. Until then they should get back to their stupid farms.
For all the world to see.

Hillary ran a negative campaign? Compared to Trump she was mother Theresa.I think it was that and that Hillary ran a very "negative" campaign.
It's been bad in the past; but this time it seemed to go way over the top and I'm not sure that this is what the voters want to hear, night after night.
Don't tell us what the other guy is doing, tell us what you're going to do.
