The lonesome death of “you’re a racist”

that is the core of this case.

You either call that woman a liar or Zimmy is gulity

"The last thing you heard was something hitting somebody?" West asked her.
"Trayvon got hit," Jeantel said.
"You don't know that, do you?" the defense lawyer said.

"No sir," she said.
"You don't know that he didn't take his fist and drive it into Zimmerman's face do you?" the lawyer pressed.
"No sir," Jeantel replied.

Zimmerman rushed trayvon.

hit him in the chest and knocked him down and then Trayvon yells GET OFF ME GET OFF ME

Zimmerman is Fat and out of shape...

Trayvon was a Star Athlete that could run the 40yd Dash in about 6 seconds.

You really think Zimmerman could Outrun Trayvon? Seriously?

Zimmerman couldn't catch a Ham Sandwich if it was Handed to him!

quit poretending i ignored it.

DO YOU THINK SHE LIED?

No... But you seem to think that the part where she stated she didn't know somehow never happened. I am not pretending you ignored it. You did ignore it. I have posted it several times, yet you keep insisting that her earlier testimony is all that matters. You IGNORE the fact that she admitted she didn't know. That trumps her earlier testimony. Yet you continue to pretend it doesn't.

what did that witness hear?

she heard a heavy breathing man say to trayvon "what are you doing here"

you don't breath heavy when you are walking

She also doesn't know who was breathing heavy. She is guessing. Also the term 'heavy' is subjective. What if Martin ran up to Zimmerman? What if he was the one breathing heavy?

Beaten to death? Maybe. But I think it deserves a thread: calling someone a racist, without evidence of real racism, is bad news. It’s weak, it’s lazy, it’s incendiary and it is the refuge of the intellectually bankrupt.

I had quite a few posters the past few days tell me to just get over it, to let the anger of those falsely using the term lash out unfettered, to let posters who racebait continue to racebait. I was told that I was self-absorbed and self-pitying for taking time to deny the charge. And let’s not make any mistake about this: it’s a serious accusation. It’s not calling someone an idiot, or a fool. If you believe racism is a serious issue, then you believe it’s a serious accusation. You can’t have it both ways.

I was told that I was a racist for respecting the verdict of the jurors in the GZ case. I was told I was a racist for finding some of the evidence ambiguous & inconclusive. I was told that I was a racist for denying that I was with passion – that if I wasn’t, the accusation wouldn’t bother me. I was told I was a racist for not agreeing with a crazy person.

Then, something very interesting happened. Former President & liberal icon Jimmy Carter agreed with me. He said the same thing I said. The logical conclusion? He must be a racist, too.

And this is when the baiters, the grenade throwers, the ones who so carelessly lob that term out to their political opponents – they scattered like cockroaches when the lights go on. One made a lame attempt to try to argue that Carter – Jimmy friggin’ Carter - is a man who generally tries to appease Republicans, and who doesn’t really speak his mind. But the rest split. It was like watching a computer overload when given two conflicting instructions.

It was a glorious thing to see such a high level of hypocrisy exposed. Those who use this term carelessly, recklessly & to only serve a political agenda are no better than the real racists, imo. They are just as divisive; just as worthy of condemnation.

you are a racist

you are a racist

I had forgotten all about this discussion. I absolutely loved that you spent days calling anyone who agreed w/ the GZ verdict a racist, until Jimmy Carter came out & said it.

That was fantastic. Really showed your hypocrisy & blatant dishonesty.

Thanks for bumping this.

Went to look up what Jimmy Carter said:

Jimmy Carter: Zimmerman jury made 'right decision'

I think the jury made the right decision based on the evidence presented because the prosecution inadvertently set the standard so high that the jury had to be convinced that it was a deliberate act by Zimmerman and that he was not at all defending himself," Carter said.

"It's not a moral question," he continued, "it was a legal question and the American law requires that the jury listens to the evidence presented."
