After reading this op-ed I came to a conclusion that it really does speak to how a lot of American's are beginning to view Obama.

He really does come off as that irritating husband/boyfriend who cannot admit when he's lost because his map contained faulty and or incomplete directions. Instead of stopping to either consult another map or ask for help they continue driving around looking for a clue to follow so they don't have to admit they are lost/wrong...meanwhile they are wasting time; energy; and rescources.

By constrast in Christie you have a leader unafraid of facing difficulties because he has a detailed road map; a plan.
 
Before you could take any corrective action, though, you first had to come to the --often-embarrassing-- recognition that you were indeed lost. Then you could start looking for the main road.

This goes for followers of The Obama as well. We see it here with our team of liberals. Who among them has the personal courage to accept that they were wrong and "start looking for the main road"?

They are starting to voice the concern as well...just starting.

I would be very surprised if the Republicans put out I candidate that I preferred to the Democrat in my lifetime. Only problem with Obama is that he doesn't go nearly far enough.

That's just because they are immature and impatient, and think that Marxism can be implemented over night. The Obama would if he could, but America doesn't want that so we're fighting back.

The thing that gets me about Obama is, he's really a 'likable' guy, people genuinely like him as a person, or want to like him... but his policies and ideas are totally wrong for America. If he would take a page from the Clinton playbook, he could truly be one of the most popular presidents in history, but I think his liberal socialist ideology prohibits him from ever considering that. He is determined to push his agenda no matter what.

He could give a 15-minute address, and completely change the course of his presidency... My fellow Americans, I come to you today to ask for your forgiveness. We embarked on a bold and aggressive agenda which I believed would make America better, and in doing so, we failed to realize many of the subsequent pitfalls of our ideas, and the sentiments of the American people. Starting today, I plan to change course, and pledge to work with my opposition to forge new initiatives and do what is best for the country. We're going to extend the Bush tax cuts for another 2 years, across the board, for every American... now is not the time to raise taxes on anyone, including the wealthy, who are responsible for the majority of jobs created in America. We are also going to rescind the Health Care Reform legislation, and work toward a bipartisan bill which addresses the many problems with health care costs in America. I pledge to, not only freeze discretionary spending, but reduce the deficit and balance the budget within the next two years.

That's pretty much all it would take. He would be viewed as one of the greatest presidents of the past century, if he were to 'moderate' in this way. But this is never going to happen with Obama because he is an ideologue. Do any of you remember how he campaigned, emphasizing over and over, with the willing assistance of his friends in the media, how he was not a liberal, he was a moderate, and would govern as a 'centrist.' Is that what we've seen from him at all?

I tend to agree that he will never moderate (but this being politics who knows) With Rahm's departure it will be interesting to see what THAT is really all about.
