The Massachusetts official state website is blaming President Trump for snap benefits being halted

The money is specifically for certain things. If the Dept of Ag were to use it to cover SNAP they'd be committing a potentially criminal act in using money allocated for one purpose for something it isn't supposed to be used for by law. I've controlled budgets under the Federal Acquisition Regulations. You just can't move money allocated to one line item to another as you please. There are lots of rules and if you don't follow them, you could find yourself facing charges.

But they say Trump's a king.

They are lying, Guno - outright. Hatred alone does not trump reality.

Tell your party to stop the Schumer Shutdown. Stop fucking over Americans because you love illegal aliens.
So are you saying Trump isn't known for being one of the biggest LIARS in the world?
Almost every other sentence IF not every sentence some times out of his mouth are nothing but lies.

And as for the DEMS backing down I wish they would and they should make sure when all the cuts that are in the BBB take effect it was what the Republicans passed, so when people lose the very programs they need to survive they know it was the Republicans that cut them.
Yep let health ins go up over 100% , healthcare services cut along with Medicare / medicaid and food stamp cuts.
YEP the DEMS should make sure the people of the USA know all the cuts to services a lot of Americans including MAGAS depend on were cut by the Republicans.

CNN tried to corner Senator Josh Hawley with a loaded question about SNAP funding — and he shut it down in seconds.

When reporter Manu Raju asked if President Trump should “step in” to fix food stamp funding during the shutdown, @HawleyMO exposed where the real blame lies:

“This is Congress’s fault. Not his fault. So,when it comes to SNAP, the only solution here is: we need to appropriate the money. I mean, even if he could put a band-aid on it, he couldn’t pay all of it.”
