The Nutjobs That are Running the GOP

In an Internet profile, John Joseph Jay, a founder of American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), named "rabbi meir kahna" [sic] as one of his "heroes and inspirations in life." This is an obvious reference to Rabbi Meir Kahane, the founder of the groups Kach and Kahane Chai, which have been listed as Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations by the U.S. Department of State.

Jay has in the past called for the killing of all Muslims. He wrote: "[T]here are no innocent muslims. islam is subject to killing on grounds of political expediency on the same basis as islam kills its victims, and islam cannot ethically and morally claim otherwise." Geller has become a prominent voice in the debate despite the fact that she once promoted the view that Obama is Malcolm X's love child. She frequently warns that Muslims are trying to impose repressive sharia law on the United States, refers to the president's holiday message to Muslims as "Obama Ramadamadingdong" and promotes a Web site, Religion of Peace, that claims to tally the number of people killed around the world by Muslim extremists.

Um... Do you have some sort of evidence these people are "in charge" of anything but their own mouths?

They might as well be running the show right now. They are responsible for the Republican side of this mosque bs, that we have been hearing all week. It sounds as if Ditzy and Newt have been quoting them directly.

These are the people whose feewings Damo wants the mosque backers to consider.

so, in other words..... you are simply trying to PROJECT the nuts views on to Reps in general?

Project, my ass. Reps, in large numbers, are adopting it. Newt boasted of the praise he received from this group and was going to speak at one of their events on 9/11. It's a fucking hate group. You Republicans who stand silent and fail to shout down these retards who are taking over your party are complicit.

1) I am not, nor have I ever been... a Republican

2) Again, you are projecting onto the entire group the actions of the nuts. I could fucking care less what Newt boasts about or who he speaks to. Newt is NOT the Republican party, nor has he been an active leader of it for quite some time.

3) That said, there are indeed morons in both parties and both parties should denounce the lunatics among them.

30 years ago the preponderance of nut jobs were Dems. I was a Repub then. Now the nut jobs are mostly Repubs and I switched to being a registered Dem. Some day, probably in my life time, it will swing back the other way and I'll go back to being a Repub again.

I am not going to get into some stupid argument over labels. You are primarily a "conservative." You seem to lean Republican in your partisan support. Okay?

Please, what a bunch of horse shit. It is quite obvious that the GOP and their symbiots at Faux News are attempting to make a major issue out of this stupid mosque bs. We have Newt, Gohmert, many other GOP candidates, Ditzy and the Yank parroting the irrational fear mongering of these nutcases.

I said weeks ago, before this thing blew up, that this was all coming form the fever swamps. Meanwhile, Damo and other conservatives counseled that we should really think about the feewings of the mosque opponents.

Here are their feelings. They feel we should kill all Muslims. Fuck them! They will sit down and stfu! We should no more consider their feelings than we should those of the KKK.

The above is simply an illusion that those of a particular party wish to believe.

There are a large number of nuts in both parties. Those of us who hate both parties can see them as clear as day, whereas members of each party only tend to see the OTHER parties nuts.

you don't want to get into labels, yet the point of your thread is to label an entire party leadership by the actions of a few.

As I have stated 1000 times, I am indeed fiscally conservative and socially moderate. I am far more libertarian than anything.

No... they are not parroting the extreme views of those nuts. While it IS becoming a national issue that both parties are harping on, the majority of the country is of the mindset that while they have a legal right to build the mosque where ever they want, it would be better if they went further away from the ground zero site.

This is a position I personally disagree with, though back to the point... I don't see the majority of Rep leadership stating we should kill all muslims or any such nonsense that these groups are spouting.

again... while there are certainly some extremists who take those views... it is NOT the Rep Leadership who is taking such a wackjob stance and you know it. Again, you are projecting the extremes onto the party as a whole.

Not really. In this case it was because all those nutjob southern conservatives left the Democratic party and became Republicans. ;)

I think islam should be outlawed too, like the kahnists.

But i part there with the nutjobs running the g.o.p.

Im not a zionist, for instance.

Nice catch, man.

I've been hip for a while to the fact that there's something unsavory going on with this. There's no freaking way a local zoning issue gets blown up into a faux "controvery" of this size, without an assist from some bigots, from some NeoCon cyber-warriors, and/or from some political opportunists.

It's beyond reason. How the f did an innocuous community center run by respectable american muslims get caricatured as a muslim trophy mosque dedicated to victory on 9/11? The xeonophobia is unmistakable.

And the misinformation is clearly calculated. Even outside the realm of bigotry, most americans at this point have been misinformed into believing this community center is actually at ground zero, and presumably run by some radical muslims.

I agree with you about sparing the "feelings" of either the bigots, or the misinformed and manipulated boobs. Fuck them. And fuck their "feelings". None of this shit or "feelings" are based on reason or fact. I'm totally with you man, I don't distinguish between the bigot or the bigot-enabler. And I have only slightly less tolerance for the dude who stands by in silence, as american muslims are forced to run a gauntlet of xenophobia.

It's going to be funded by the same funders who fund terrorissm. Saudi arabia, iran, etc. Foreign powers, essentially. Foreign powers funding an ideology of theocratic revolution.

You're a traitor to the american people for your views.
