The photo in the Situation Room...

Blabo knows about pwning man ass, as you can see in this video that led to his joining the navy:

Poor Blabo.

No, it was Jarod in the OP that brought it up.

I am not the one who made the claim that it was a strawman argument or that nobody other than "Conservative" would make the argument. Its Yurt who brought that up!

You are the one that made the comment Yurt was referring to. Both he and I stated your argument was a straw man... which it is. He was asking you to find an example other than an internet troll of someone who would make such a comment.

You & Yurt both took an essentially rhetorical, future-tense question & turned it into a faux "gotcha" that made it sound like he was claiming all kinds of people were saying it.

It was nothing but diversion, and silly. And it was even more ridiculous that Yurt kept bumping his post, thinking that he "had" Jarod....

Bam, Yurt owned once again!

His world is falling down around him!

???? I wasnt making any statement about Obamas level of involvement and simply explaining his attire. He played golf that day. The General running the operation was there, likely from the start while Obama joined them later, after golf.
I wouldnt want any president running a covert op. Let the guys who do those sort of things do their job. LBJ fancied himself a military mastermind and injected himself into the details of military operations, likely only to the detriment of those operations. Surely even Obamas supporters didnt elect him for his mastery of military matters.

1) no he asked me for anyone other than "conservative"

2) playing devils advocate for sake of framing a discussion is not tge same as a straw
man. I don't really care if you believe it is a stramonium, it's not important to the discussion I was trying to have. I don't really care to prove it was not a straw man cuz I don't care if you believe it was!

1) It was not rhetorical as it was not a question but a statement.

2) It was absolutely a straw man because right after the statement Jarod proceeded to knock down said straw man.

I realized after I wrote it that it wasn't phrased as a question in the OP (I went back and looked). I considered editing my post for clarification, but decided to leave it, because it is such a small distinction between rhetorical "device" and "question."

And, sure enough, you proved the point. You & Yurtsie loves you some good nitpicky stuff that you can distract with...

They would prefer to distract than debate or discuss, when all you have is a hammer the whole world looks like a nail.

You are the one nitpicking... it was clearly a straw man as evidenced by the fact that he knocked it down in the same OP. There was nothing rhetorical about it. It was comment 'some will say...' followed by the knock down. It is humorous that you pretend otherwise.

LOL... how can we distract from the debate Jarod? According to onceler the comment was rhetorical on your part.

You made and absurd comment, knocked it down... what exactly are you wanting to debate?

Read the OP again. It's pretty clear that it's main point is the he is wondering about it himself.

It was rhetorical... But you have successfully turned the discussion into a debate about if part of my post was a straw man or not....
