The Radical Left's Stranglehold on Public Schools

Because the play was about the female reproductive system. A kidney would've been fine, but it wasn't about the kidneys.

Considering the comments about birth control on these forums, more men need education on the female reproductive system.

I couldn't find the talk referred to, so if you have a link to it please post it.

But that still does not explain why having a boy play a fallopian tube in a school would be demeaning.

Reread my post. I edited it.

Are you trying to say that if I received more education on the female reproductive system that I would be pro-abortion as well?

No, I don't believe that is what I said at all. There was a comment referring to a woman taking a birth control pill every time she has sex. That comment shows the ignorance to which I referred.

So it was demeaning because you and your friends would have been mortified?

Your own insecurities do not explain how it is demeaning to the boy.
Are you saying that as a young student you would have been cool with playing the part of a left testicle?

I doubt it would have bothered me at all, but then I was pretty active in the school and community theatre.

Whether the student is cool with it or not does not decide whether it is demeaning.

I don't support that at all. So why would you bring it up to me?

What I said was "Considering the comments about birth control on these forums, more men need education on the female reproductive system.".

That is an example of men who should have had more education on the female reproductive system. I was not saying anything about you specifically.

And yet, you still brought it to my attention. I think you wanted to communicate this to me, specifically.

1. Really? Would you call Mass a liberal state? Pretty sure you would. I have already shown that we have an abundance of choices here.

2. Not making sense again. What is your actual point? The author uses this lie as the basis for his entire argument, therefore the article is bunk.

3. Thanks for denying then proving my argument. Interesting debate technique, A for originality.

4. Again, thanks for providing additional proofs of my argument. How can states on the brink of bankruptcy opt out of Federal funding? Is that there one of them strawman thingies?

1. WA is a liberal state and they do not have "plenty of choices" here. The public education system is rigged to monopolize public funds.

2. It is not basis for his "entire" argument- more broad brush.

3. The only point proven is that a) you have been unable to prove your point, b) That you use broad brush statements in order to prop up your irrational statements.

4. What I have proven is that you don't understand how public funding works- why teachers taught to a test- or that NCLB legislation had nothing to do with tests created by state boards- only that state boards created tests instead of requiring better instruction.

I doubt you're telling the truth.

More liberal arrogance, I see. Who are you to dictate how a kid should feel? If you're embarrassed, then it's demeaning -- especially for a young boy.

Now this is funny. First you decide that, since it didn't further your argument I must be lying. Then you talk about my arrogance??

Can you say "Hypocrisy"?

And now you want to base school activities on whether or not a teenager is embarrassed?? Now that is funny.

Then you obviously misunderstood. I used the ignorance of the poster talking about birth control as an example. Were you the one who posted that the woman has to take a birth control pill every time she has sex?

That was Blabo, wasn't it?

Poor Blabo.

I can say "hypocrisy" because I'm typing this message to a hypocrite right now ;)

Tell you what, sweetness; I'll concede this argument if you publicly state that by no means is it demeaning for any girl to act the part of a penis in a male teacher's class play.

The kid played a fallopian tube! And you think the equivilent is a girl playing a penis?

I am a hypocrite? Tell me about that?

I have no problem saying a girl wouldn't be demeaned by playing a penis in a school play. In fact, when I was in high school there were several girls in the theatre group who would have JUMPED at the chance.

It is a school play. No one is showing their genitals.

BTW, have you found the link to the story in question? I would like to read the actual information about this event.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Grains comes off to me as just another mouth breather who is incapable of critical thinking but wants to hate on people who are different then him becuase he's scared of them.

Interesting read for those weary of hallucinating liberals crying about religious plots from the Right.

I think it was Mark Steyn who spoke about his son coming home from school one day and talking about how he acted a part of the female reproductive system in a class play. Thank you, Democrats...

I think you're making it up. I found nothing from anybody, Mark Steyn included, that their son was acting as a lady part in a class play. So cite it or stuff it.
