The Rich/Poor Disparity Myth

So what?

You still haven't answered mine.

Show me proof of this mythical "stand down" order you keep referring to but can't corroborate.

You get nothing from me until you answer my question. Where did Bill Gates get his ideas and how much should he be paid for them and who determines that?

When you purchase one of his computers, does that mean you designed it and built it? Of course not, but you purchased it. You own it. If Bill Gates paid someone to build a computer, he owns it the same way, he paid for it to be built. Your ill-fated argument can only fly if Bill Gates has slaves working to build his computers against their will. Since that is not the case, we have the smoldering remains of what once was your point.

So Bill Gates personally assembled each and every Apple he's EVER sold ANYWHERE, is that your contention?

See, that is just the deal, Bill had a big idea, but the idea needed production and after it was produced it needed distribution, there are other steps, but those are the big ones. It is hard to get "big" doing them all yourself. One can not cut one of the steps and succeed. Successful businesses, like Costo has figured it out. Hopefully, they will become the model.

Bill Gates probably gets his ideas like every other human, you use your senses, at least it is the way my ideas formulate. I see, hear, taste, touch or smell things that trigger thoughts that produce ideas.

Many great ideas come from talking and listening to others.

WOW...

Another Rightie makes a lot of big statements, but won't back up his bullshit.

Well knock me down with a feather...LOL

See, here's the deal... IF you have the big idea to remodel your home, you don't have the skills to do it, so you call people who can and pay them to do the remodeling. Whenever you have guests over and they praise you for how beautiful your home is, do you modestly decline the praise and give them the number of the remodeling company, so they can call and express their approval? When you sell your home for several thousand dollars more than it would have been worth without the remodel, do you send the remodeling company a check? When your home wins an award and Home & Garden wants to come do an interview and give you a prize, do you call the remodeling company to have them accept for the work they did?

Bill Gates had the idea, he organized the financing of production, he paid designers and engineers, he paid workers to assemble and transport his product, and even paid people to sell his product in stores. The credit doesn't go to anyone other than Bill Gates for this. Yes, other people were involved along the way, and they were compensated for their efforts.

Exactly, which is why your outrageous and extremist claims of an aristocratic government are pure lunacy.

Thanks for proving that yourself!

I didn't say an aristocratic government. I said an aristocracy. Conservatives want government to serve as subservient enablers to the aristocrats (the 1%). The 99% are viewed with the same contempt by conservatives as Romney's 47%...moochers.

Not necessarily. If the neurosurgeon refused to take out a tumor, the patient and his family and friends might suffer but it wouldn't have much impact on society at large. If I and my neighbors refused to haul garbage to a landfill because we already paid for someone else to do it, the entire street would suffer the consequences, especially if those consequences were a proliferation of disease-carrying vermin.

Refusal would be on you, not the garbage man. The tumor will kill you.

You're not even making any sense anymore, Bfoon.

I am not surprised it goes right over your head. Here is a perfect definition of what the role of the President and government should be, stated by two great Democrats:

"Harry Truman once said, 'There are 14 or 15 million Americans who have the resources to have representatives in Washington to protect their interests, and that the interests of the great mass of the other people - the 150 or 160 million - is the responsibility of the president of the United States, and I propose to fulfill it.'"
President John F. Kennedy

Imagine if politicians stuck to the US Constitution? Novel idea I know. It is much more fun to loot the treasury in behalf of someone else with cash someone else has to pay back.
