Nancy could have reopened the government with a simple three letter word when ask for some wall money, like "YES."

That's was because that's how sane and honest folk make a sensible deal and the President has some power too ya know! Trump sais Mexico "IS" paying for the wall. The new deal with Mexico replacing NAFTA will favor a better balance of payments in our trade with Mexico that will provide more than enough savings for America to pay for a wall several times over, and so far no democrat, or you or anybody else has provided any verifiable evidence otherwise.

Old people are not raised with tech. She is no idiot because she does not know everything in the world. It was not in her field of expertise. Trump does not know tech at all. He was taught how to tweet. He was not experienced in international poolitics, or how the government works, Trump still cannot understand that we have 3 equal branches of government and he does not know why it was done that way. 2 years in and Trump has many unfilled positions. He has lobbyists running departments they used to be regulated by. Talk about swampy. And he has the government shut down. Trump is not smart. Smart people do not feel the need to say they are over and over. They prove it by actions.

The new deal isn't even ratified yet, and if that new deal is going to pay for the wall, then there's no reason to shut down the government now.

So way to invalidate the strategy.

You said yourself that the new trade deal will pay for the wall. So since that's the case, there's no need to shut down the government over wall funding now.

They say that Mexico will pay for the wall via a trade deal that hasn't been ratified yet. So if Mexico will pay for the wall via this trade deal, then there's no reason to shutdown the government over wall funding right now.

Since Mexico will be paying for it via the trade deal, shutting down the government over wall funding right now is pointless.

Conservative strategy seems to be cognitive dissonance and self-contradiction.
