The Sochi attack.

I agree with Supercandy that the hype is something the terrorists want, they are still relevant as long as people are still afraid of them.

But, on the flip side, is it possible that so much hype will make them appear inept if they do not accomplish something... people may walk away with the feeling that we can control them and their ability to attack.

Yet unless evidence is given of a thwarted attack, that is not the case. If the Russians simply say 'they were planning multiple attacks and we stopped them all', but then fail to produce any evidence of such... it is the Russians who end up playing the part of the fool.

Alas, as you already know, I was watching live television. They did not say it did happen, they were using syntax that indicated that such an attack was a foregone conclusion. Already calling it "The Sochi Attack" and describing what it WILL look like.

So in other words, YOU inferred what you wanted to. Thanks... that is what was expected

lmao... how am I defending Fox?

Garud pretended that it is only Fox reporting on this... I showed he is, as usual... wrong.

Where did I say FOX was the only one reporting this? You have to turn to hyperbole and exaggerations to try to feel better about yourself again? Sad.

Give me a break, your entire OP was a rant on Fox and how Fox was always reporting on stuff like this... blah blah blah...

Funny that you didn't mention that every other major network and numerous print publications were ALSO talking about the same thing. YOU tried to make it all about Fox.

Pretending otherwise just shows how dishonest you are.

My problem with the WAY FOX was reporting this, go re-read my opening post and see if you can restate your above words with a straight face.

I turned on the television this morning. It was already on Foxnews, I watch often to see their take and what they are choosing to cover. This morning they had some kind of terrorism expert talking about the "Sochi Attack". I figured I missed something in the overnight hours and flipped around, finding nothing about it I returned to Fox.

Was he talking about "A" Sochi Attack or 'THE' Sochi attack? Or are you just misremembering the events? Since you obviously have no evidence, we are simply relying on your word...

They were discussing, what the Sochi Attack WILL look like. The dude had a tube of toothpaste an was discussing how the attack would play out and what its implications will be.

Again... YOU insert the 'WILL'... not them. Unless you can show otherwise, because from the articles I have seen... they are doing what others are doing. Talking about scenarios that MIGHT occur.

The syntax was so interesting to me. They were treating it like it was a foregone conclusion.

Again... the more you say it, the more it sounds like another of your stories where you know the person that fits the exact stereotype you are wishing to portray. Funny how that is a common theme with you.

YOU are injecting YOUR perception into this.

Its interesting to me how that works, they are so focused on fear and how terror is always about to happen.

Just more of your nonsensical attack on Fox. Like I said... funny that you don't see the stories at other networks doing this.

Garud, you said you tuned in this morning... what news segment was on?

About what time?

It was sometime between 7:30 and 8:30. I looked on the webcite and cant find it, but you are welcome to look. They had some kind of terrorism expert talking about it with a tube of toothpaste in his hand.

I feel sorry for the company that spent all that money on samples they were going to hand out to visitors promoting their new line of toothpaste......

oh, I already looked...which is why I think you are full of shit.

I will look again... I will assume you mean 7:30-8:30 your time.

So, are you admitting that I never claimed the other networks were not covering the story?

No, I am saying you emphatically implied it. Which is why both wacko and I called you on your bullshit so quickly.

But do go on spinning and pretending you weren't doing so.

Weird Garud... not on their list... funny it wouldn't be given you said they were focusing on the attack that WILL happen.

Maybe you will have better luck finding it... since they have video of their show on there... surely you can find what you were referring to... I mean, you didn't lie to us just to start a thread bashing Fox did you?

It has been in the news for many weeks as you stated. Garud just likes going off on his anti-Fox rants. That said, out of the 173 threads Garud has started, this is at least an interesting topic, despite his 'OMG OMG OMG Fox is making this shit up and no one else is talkin bout it'

Amazing.

Jarod starts a thread to discuss what he saw on TV, and within THREE RESPONSES, the petty Conservatives are back to calling him names and attacking him personally.

Since my wife must watch the NBC Nightly News on a daily basis I often have no choice but to watch along. They have been talking for several weeks about possible attacks in Sochi and have interviewed security experts and so on. So I know you think this is a Fox News phenomenon to talk about this but it has been on other channels as well Jarod if it will help you sleep better at night.

I want to apologize Jarod. I didn't mean to personally attack you by hoping my info would help you sleep better at night. Fortunately a friend on the board who would never attack anyone or call others names showed me the error of my ways. For my actions I am sorry.

My problem with the WAY FOX was reporting this, go re-read my opening post and see if you can restate your above words with a straight face.

Give it up Jarod, for people like SF, it was NEVER about Faux News, what they report or how they report it.

It's always been about attacking you, since you DARED to utter a negative comment about their deity, Fox News.

Look at Brian Williams and NBC News leading off the news with talk of terrorism and how the TSA is banning certain items on flights from U.S. to Russia. It also referenced the possibility of a toothpaste attack. Clearly they are treating this like a foregone conclusion. It's interesting to how that works, they are so focused on fear and how terror is always about to happen. Typical of the NBC family of networks.
