The Tesla hype

You claimed people were touting Tesla's profitability as being "100% due to selling cars"...you just made that statement.

I asked you to back up your allegation.

You can't/won't.

You got PWNED to the BONE!

I WIN AGAIN!

Everyone see that?

He couldn't refute what I said, instead he turns tail and runs away.

it's amazing how that works...

You point out the bullshit in their claims and poke a couple holes in their little fantasy and they just run away, never to be heard from again!

One complete and total PWNING of ILA!

it is interesting that Tesla has ZERO union members, guess they want to keep their costs down ;)

Awwwwwwww...isn't it cute how ILA has now realized that he's lost the original argument, so here he tries desperately to change the subject.

What do union workers have to do with his previous tantrum regarding Tesla's profitability?

ANSWER...not a damn thing!

Your numbers are off, low for internal combustion and high for electric, but you're on the right track. Of course you're ignoring what I was referring to, the pollution issues of battery manufacturing and disposal, line losses from electrical transmission, and the fact that much of our electricity is made by burning coal, which is itself inefficient...

You are correct. When one reaches the horsepower used in electric cars, the efficiency climbs significantly higher than the 90% I estimated. Thank you.

Next let's look at battery manufacturing vs ICE manufacturing.

Lead- acid battery, injection molded plastic, recycled lead. Lithium Ion, surface mined lithium, refined and rolled into thin sheets.

Iron-aluminum engine blocks and associated components (the vast majority of which simply do not exist on electric cars) Pit mining, smelting, metal casting, etc. with up to at most 20% recycled metals.
Sorry, but manufacturing internal combustion engines and their related support components (radiators, fuel tanks, ignition systems, exhaust systems, fuel distribution systems) is simply far more expensive, complicated and polluting.

Lines losses country wide total 7%, and coal is used to produce less than 45% of our electricity and rapidly dropping.
Furthermore, Coal production of electricity approaches theoretical maximum efficiency and is a domestic fuel source, greatly aiding national security.

The bottom line though is that an electric car uses less energy per mile period.

Oh their profitability?

Here faggot, chew on that for a while. Look at their ROA and their ROI. It is shit. They are a shitty company and even your fellow dicksucker Topspin says they are overvalued. As far as giving you a "quote" that someone said they ONLY sell cars, no such quote exists. Of course it is a safe assumption that a car company sells cars right dumb fuck rump ranger?

You be PWND again bitch bastard

they are not practical nor cost effective. PERIOD

If they were, they would be flying off the lots. They are NOT.

End of story. I win. You lose

Yet.

Like any new tech. End of story.

I win. You are a loser.

Wrong. Lots of new tech fails. This isn't the first time some nimrod has tried electric cars. They aren't cost effective.

Now answer this question bitch boy. If these are so promising, where is the private capital? Why are private investors sitting on the sidelines? Why aren't they getting in there?

Here is another two questions

1) Do you own a Tesla?
2) Do you own their stock?

Now answer this question; Why is private (and corporate) being stockpiled in record amounts instead of invested?

1. Not yet
2. Not telling.

Fucknut

So you don't your own money where your mouth is? Typical dumbshit liberal.

You didn't answer the question as to why Tesla isn't raising private capital? They obviously can't fund operations through sales. They are bleeding cash

Answer my question if you expect any answers from me. Otherwise, fuck off.

Tesla is a high performance sport car, moron.

Ever seen the mileage rating of a Masserati?

What a fucking dumbass you are.

No reason to get all emotional and testy.

You inferred that electric cars were more than 90% efficient, referring to NEMA data, which has nothing to do with cars. I corrected you.

These are the facts, and they are undeniable.

Incorrect. I inferred nothing, and in fact made a direct comparison between electric motors and internal combustion engines. Sorry about the testiness, that derives from your idiot sponsor (the OP).

Why else would you be citing NEMA charts when the thread is about cars?

Also, the efficiency of modern DOHC turbo engines is much higher than the 20% that you indicated. I'm not sure, but I think it's around 35%.

Well, as I can't speak for EVERY business and why they are sitting on trillions in cash. I can speculate. I surmise that many corporations are now multi national. They sell goods abroad and pay taxes on those goods. The United States in all of its wisdom thinks it would be a good idea to tax that money again, so many companies are sitting on that cash. Smart business if you ask me.

Another reason I speculate that businesses aren't investing is because there is much uncertainty in the business environment, whether it be taxes, regulations and all the fuck ups in Washington DC.

Now as to why businesses aren't investing in Tesla, I think it is clear, they won't see a return on their money from the failed venture it will eventually be. Remember, if it weren't for US taxpayers, Tesla would be tits up.

Now, your turn.

Try to understand the words I use (since they indicate my meaning) and keep your infferences to yourself.

Prove your 35% claim. That is laughable, and exceeds even the possiblities of a diesel.

Fuck your spell check, I don't have time for this shit today.

When you're posting in a thread about an electric car and you make a claim about electric motors, one has to assume that there is a relation there, unless words are used to specify otherwise.

I made no such claim, and stated that I was "not sure". Try to understand the words I use (since they indicate my meaning) and keep your infferences to yourself.

It REALLY sucks for you to be pwned by me, doesn't it, Southern Man.
