Yeah, I'm Gen X so I remember all this shit, and my hair stylist is a Millennial. I was there on Wednesday and she actually asked me what would happen if there was a nuclear war between the US and Russia. She said "a lot of us would survive, right?" I really didn't have the heart to tell her that the survivors would actually be the less fortunate. You really want to go out right away. It got me thinking that maybe this ignorance explains so many tweets I see, saying we have to institute a no-fly zone over Ukraine (an act of war), and that we have to get directly involved and stop Putin now. It’s been nearly impossible to find anyone able to justify Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine. And then there’s Pat Robertson.

During a recent appearance on the Christian Broadcasting Network’s The 700 Club, which the 91-year-old televangelist returned to as a guest after hosting for 55 years, Robertson said Putin invaded Ukraine because’ he’s “being compelled by God,” per the Washington Post.

“I think you can say, well, Putin’s out of his mind. Yes, maybe so,” he said. “But at the same time, he’s being compelled by God. He went into the Ukraine, but that wasn’t his goal. His goal was to move against Israel, ultimately.”
