The thuggery of Argentina’s Falklands claim

Russia and America kept you running cowards from becoming German slaves. Period

You want to stamp your feet after saying that? "Its so because I say its so!"

Facts are facts. The Battle of Britain saved the modern world.

And for an argie to call a Briton a coward after the pathetic fight you lot put up in 82???? It only took us 74 days to put together a force, sail 8000 miles and kick the living daylights out of the colonialist invaders. The only people who surrender nearly as quickly as the argies are the French.

Battle of britan delayed your ass raping

The only raping that went on was of the Luftwaffe by the RAF.

You argies in 1982, like your German kin in 1939, massively underestimated Britain's fighting strength, thinking because we are a small island we are weak.
In 1982 even our allies in the US Navy thought it was impossible for GB to retake our islands. We certainly demonstrated our fighting ability on those occasions.

Glug, glug... what's that sound, oh, just the Belgrano just reaching the ocean floor....

Dunkirk, and the battles that ensued prior to Dunkirk was a lesson in German's kicking allied ass. The battle for France started on May 10, 1940. within 10 days the Germans had marched through Belgium, the Netherlands and pinned the Brits at Dunkirk. If not for the Halt Order given by Kluge and Rundstedt, and latter endorsed by Hitler, the Brits would have been massacred. It is the ONLY reason that the Brits could get every fishing boat, row boat and bathtub across the channel to complete the retreat. Had the Germans not given the halt order, a quarter million Brits likely would been killed or captured at Dunkirk. All that being said, The Battle of Britain showed the determination and fighting spirit of the British people at a time when Americans buried their heads in the sand and would have otherwise let Hitler take over Europe.

Did you know that the Belgrano was once called the luckiest ship in the US Navy having survived Pearl Harbour and several actions in the Pacific?

The 'halt order', which only lasted 3 days, ended before the British had even started any large scale evacuation. The German Army got a bit of scare when attacked by a couple of squadrons of Matilda Mk 1 tanks. They had a hell of job to stop these tanks and it was the first time that the Germans used the 88 mm gun as an anti tank weapon. Although the Germans had a job to stop the British tanks they were so under gunned that they did not do a lot of damage, but they did kill Rommel's second in command who was standing beside him. As the Germans had pushed so far so fast it was decided to take a few days break to allow them to get ready for the final push in France. Most of the German tanks needed servicing also they were low on fuel and ammunition, once this was done they resumed their attack. I don't think they expected over 300,000 men would escape across the sea to fight them again and I think even Churchill was surprised that operation Dynamo had been such a success. In short the main reasons were.

  1. Tanks needed servicing for invading rest of France and weren't suited to ground around Dunkirk
  2. Goering convinced Hitler the Luftwaffe could do the job
  3. Stubborn defence by the BEF and French 1st.
  4. Germans simply didn't realise the BEF could be evacuated (being a land based nation at heart)

The Dude isn't really au fait with history or geography, there is not much need for either in the Louisiana swamps. When he posted as Topspin he couldn't even spell the name of his hometown Covington properly, even the stupidest GED can do that. :palm:

The Brits were dumb enough to fork over $20,000,000,000 to mostly Louisiana for thier shoddy oil rig.
More fines to come, Also compare Louisiana's income to Brits ours is higher.
