Maybe you didn't do enough to help solve them yourself.

My boy from Oakland posted this today on Facebook. This is compassionate to me.


I know God has a plan. Yesterday I saw my cousins who are fathers, grandfathers, hardworking good men. Well God and our families know that years ago we were on a path to be some of the biggest gangsters Oakland has ever seen which means we would all be dead or in jail now. But by the power of God our lives were all transformed and these should of been dead or in jail gangsters are showing off grandkid pictures, taking kids to practice and helping with homework, working overtime and giving out lots of hugs to their families. I know God has a plan!- Shawn G.

Good for them. I believe it was themselves that made the change, but if it took the belief in G-d for them to do it, then more power to them.

You seem to go from believer to non-believer depending on the direction of the wind. Which is it.

No, what I said was not a positive assertion. If we use the phrasing of the dishonest coward the burden of proof still falls on believers in god(s), since their claim is more extraordinary.

He is entitled to believe the way he does and others are entitled to believe he way they do. I don't see religion being necessary in my life. I went through cancer and never prayed. I Go through my everyday life and am grateful, but not pray to a supernatural being to give thanks.

I know people who believe G-d is the only thing keeping them from hitting the bottle. If they need that "greater power" it is better they believe in that power than ruin their lives through alcoholism.

I am live and let live as long as those who believe don't try to foist their beliefs on me through government policies.

Well said....thats something SirChickenshit needs to realize....though not necessary for everyone, it is essential for some and for those that find it essential
they usually have a tendency to 'want others to see the light' ..... its not something to get your ass in a uproar about....its not something to fear as some
the pinheads do.....like some Christian is gonna put a spell on them and turn them into bishops or something worse....

Saying Merry Christmas or Happy Easter or glancing at a Creche or Menora won't put a curse on you or your kids....get over that shit already....

It can be irritating though, and for some reason, usually those who preach think it is fine for them to tell you of their faith, but then when you want to tell them why it isn't yours, they are suddenly persecuted or you are being reminded of hell and how you will occupy a place in it.

Most people know when to drop it and forget about changing others minds.....like jpp....no ?

Irritating only if you allow it to irritate you.....it only gets serious if they strap tnt to their balls and want to get on the same plane as you....then its irritating.

No, it was irritating, I worked at a bank, I was a practicing Christian at the time, my co worker preached to me at lunch time whenever I was in the break room. I didn't want to hear it, but at the time I was 19 and respectful. I wanted to tell her to shut up! I would tell her now that I was not interested nd that I was trying to et my lunch now, but at 19, I thought I had to be nice.
