The very definition of democracy is antithetical to the founding of the United States of America.
In a democracy, majority rules. You just need one more vote than the other guy. As is often said, it is tyranny by the majority. If the majority votes to take your property, what recourse do you have? ZERO. You have no protections of property rights in a democracy.
The United States is a Constitutional Republic. Your property is yours.
Now of course that is anathema to Marxists such as those who populate this board. They believe that other peoples property is theirs to do with what they want. They believe that they can confiscate the wealth of others to satisfy their conscience always in the name of the less fortunate and downtrodden. Never giving of themselves as surveys and IRS figures show that democrats are the least charitable among us.
