The Unmentionable

Not surprising 7 pinheads agree with you....

AGW won't be proven because its a hoax.

Token measures on emissions standards just ain't worth the cost...its like cutting your leg off because of an ingrown toenail....

Oil industry owns Washington ? Total liberal bullshit (proven by the 'thanks' you got)

and we don't trash our planet, we use what we need as we need it....as does every living thing that exists

We couldn't exhaust the resources of this planet if we tried, some we haven't even discovered yet and the planet renews itself constantly....

You're profoundly clueless.

Let's just start w/ the oil industry in DC. Why don't you look up how much they spend on lobbying? It breaks records every year.

Such a fool. You really have no idea what you're talking about - ever.

I'm going to make a wild guess! You can afford a car and use gas.

Don't you believe that the oil industry tries to use it's lobbying.influence to try to squash competition from electrics? Are you familiar with the EV-1, which was one of the first modern electrics?

Interesting story.

Add to that, the rumors(and yes, I know they are rumors) of high efficiency engine designs that have been bought up by oil companies to be stashed away so they can't be used....like I said, I realize that they are rumors...but would it surprise you?

And something that's been bugging me about something you've been saying....concerning air travel. Wouldn't you have to factor in the carbon footprint of the aircraft and divide by the number of passengers and compare that to the carbon footprint of an average car multiplied by the number of passengers on the plane?

Auto companies are losing there ass trying to give you faux outragers electric.
Yes they lobby, what industry doesn't.
Watch some WWII shows on history tv. Countries went to war to steal each others oil.

Ok....first off....I'm not a "greenie weenie" per se....I just think need to be as efficient as possible....oil is a limited resource and it's only going to get more expensive and harder to find.

Ev1 had way less than commercial demand
20 years later, gas engines are much more efficient and zero electric cars are commercial successes!

Some ofbthe hybrids are doing well...and once battery technology catches up, you might want to move your investments:D

What good is it if you get shot in the street?

Every large city has areas you wouldn't walk at night. The 'city' itself is not huge. The Buffalo area is made up of many very safe suburbs. Some are very affluent. The owner of the Boston Bruins has an estate in East Aurora which is south of Buffalo. Jim Kelly lives in Orchard Park, also south of Buffalo.

Have you seen the commercial touting Buffalo on TV? They filmed on the one day per year there wasn't a foit of snow on the fround.

Buffalo's average snowfall is less than other cities in NY State like Syracuse, Rochester and Utica. Most of the snow in Western New York hits what is called the southtowns where ski areas thrive.

I've been pretty amazed that the only time Climate Change is ever discussed on this board, pretty much, it's when our resident oil schill Tom, or some other idiot denier, posts a bunch of bs "Debunking" (LOL) the looming planetary disaster. It's especially interesting to me that our young posters, those who are 20 something or younger, never talk about it. It will change their lives in ways they cannot even yet imagine, yet total silence as they natter on about gun rights and other bullshit. Even our murderous drone policy pales in comparison...after all, climate change is actually going to kill most of the people we are bombing anyway. The body count cannot compate. This is planetary disaster coming, and it's coming soon. Of course we see it already, it's here, but it's going to get so much worse.

http://thinkprogress.org/climate/20...tion-never-mentions-climate-change/?mobile=wt

Very informative article. Remember, it doesn't matter if SF or tinfoil or the oil schill Tom don't "believe" in it. It doesn't require the belief of idiots...or of anyone. It's here. If you're in your 20's or younger it's going to fuck up your life. In fact, if you're anywhere younger than 65 it's probably going to fuck up your life.

Well, I am away for a four day weekend, enjoy! :)

i make periodic posts on app regarding climate change and exclude tinfoil :)

i would like to see more of you on app
