Norberg don't talk to me about what you believe was a fabled "Arab civilisation" - that's a contradiction in terms, dude. It's like saying the "Black Aboriginal civilisation", or saying that what's inside the Detroit city limits right now is an example of human civilisation. There is no such thing as Black Aboriginal civilisation and there is no such thing as civilisation in the inner city zones of Detroit. By the way, don't go and vist Detroit , Nordberg, a liberal honky like you would get a cap popped in his White ass by one of the brothers five minutes after arriving :)





When you refer to the "Arab civilisation" in the context of superior cultural/intellectual achievements in "mathematics, astronomy and science and culture", I can only presume that you are alluding to the fabled "Islamic Golden Age" that is said to have exist roughly between the 8th and 12th centuries (there is some debate about this time - span, but 8th to 12th is a pretty good estimate), however, the fact of the matter is that the whole legend of a so-called "Islamic (Arabic) Golden Age" is a MYTH. (And) I will explain for you why this is below. But before I do do, let me ask you, Nordberg, do you seriously believe that Islamic Arabs - people who believed that literally every word in the Koran was spoken to Mohammed by Allah through the Archangel Gabriel ?; people who refuse to accept the verdict of countless expert ancient historians that Mohammad was not "the perfect man,", rather, he was nothing but a violent, bloodthirsty, war-mongering psychopath. People who adhere, still (in 2020 !) to the articles of primitive, barbaric, 7th century Sharia law and have the fanatical intention to impose it on the rest of the world. Do you think it is likely that these people managed to create a "Golden Age" of outstanding cultural achievements in fields like : science; technology; philosophy; mathematics, the fine arts and other disciplines. If you ask me, I'd say you must be f**king joking !




In the same way we all know that you can't polish a turd", there no way that it's possible a civilised Islamic society ever existed, let alone an "Islamic Golden Age" that managed to achieve cultural advancement in disciplines like science, philosophy, mathematics, poetry. etc. Can you imagine a major dickhead like the Ayatollah Khomeini reading Shakespeare or Shelley ? - ermm - I don't think so Nordberg !





The whole concept of an "Islamic Golden Age" was created by Islamic apologists, many of then traitorous, liberal academics and their fellow travellers in the West or Democrat progressives/socialists.. The contemporary liberal-progressive- Democratic Socialist mind (e.g. individuals like Corey Booker, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tliab, Beto O'Rourke, Karmala Harris, and so on) harbours within it a burning hatred for Western civilisation and it has a corresponding urge to glorify anything outside. Lately, one of the forms this hatred has taken is the attempt to artificially inflate the historic achievements of other (non-Western) civilisations beyond what the facts support. The fabrication of a so-called "Islamic Golden Age" is urgently needed by Islamic apologists (individuals like former socialist President Barack Obama and hard- left organisations like the Communist Party of America, the Democratic Socialist Association DSU of America etc.) to prevent Islam being damned by the reality of the present condition of Muslim-majority states like: Syria; Somalian; Iran; Iraq; Nigeria; Yemen; where the majority of the population live in squalor, filth, privation, poverty, violence and just about every other imaginable form of human misery/suffering.




Islam is increasingly seen as a regressive and violent religion which promotes cruelty, armed militancy, human rights abuses and as a hindrance to progress and modernisation. Islam is a religion that is yet to produce a democratic or prosperous society, or any social and cultural forms that are admired by foreign observers in the way that anyone no matter what country they come from, can admire American freedom, Japanese order, Israeli courage and Italian style. The fable of a so-called "Islamic Golden Age" is intended to prove that there is more to Islam than Osama Bin Laden, the terrorism of ISIS and the decadence of the oil Sheiks.




Despite all of this "moderate" Muslims are desperately trying to defend Islam as a religion of peace, progress and modernity. In their desperation these apologists have tried to make extraordinary claims about Islam's contribution to the progress of human civilisation as mean to try and counter the perception in the West and other civilised areas of the world that Islamic nations are not violent, backward, uncultured States where individuals live under a fascist-like theocracy bereft of human rights. "No", the Islamic apologist will say, "Have you not heard of the "Golden Age of Islam ? Well let me tell you. Between the 7th century C.E. and the 14th century C.E. A great "Golden Age of Islam" bestowed humanity with unprecedented advancements in every field of civilisation: Arts; science; philosophy; architecture; theology; spirituality; law; medicine; government; you name it, Muslims did it !"





There's just - erm - on little problem with this narrative, and that's that the historical facts paint a rather different picture altogether; or to be blunt, they say you're spinning a big "cock-and-bull story." The was nothing "Golden" about this so-called "Golden Age of Islam." It was actually an era drenched in the blood of Kafirs (i.e non-Muslims, just like YOU Nordberg !). The period from the 7th century C.E to the 14th ( corresponding to the 2nd dynasty of the Caliphate) was precisely the time when the credo of Islam was spread through jihad by the sword from Spain in the West to India in the East. All of the supposed advancements made by Muslims during this period were nothing but modified or plagiarised version of the wisdom of the Kafirs they defeated who were either enslaved or exterminated through jihad.




There were intellectual achievements in this period, but the problem with claiming that they were produced by an "Islamic Golden Age"" is that whatever did flourish in this time, did so not by reason of Islam, BUT IN SPITE IF ISLAM.




Muslim waging expansionist jihad overran many societies (e.g; Persia, Greece, Egypt, Syria, Jewish societies, Byzantium) tat possessed intellectual sophistication in their own right and failed to completely destroy their culture. To give Islam credit for what the remnants of these cultures achieved is like crediting the Red Army for the survival of Chopin in Warsaw in 1970 !




Islam per se never encouraged science in the sense of disinterested inquiry, because the only knowledge it accepts is religious knowledge.




When the Moslem empire inherited the knowledge and skills of the Middle East, of Greece, of Persia, it added to them new and important innovations from outside, such as the manufacture of paper from China and decimal positioning from India. Thus the decimal were transmitted to the West, where, Nordberg, they are still mistakenly known as "Arabic" numbers, however, honouring not their inventors, but their transmitters.




Finally, the intellectual achievement of Islam's "Golden Age" were of limited value. There was a lot of speculation taking place, but very little application, in, say, technology or politics. For almost 1000 years up to the present day even speculation has stopped and the limits/bounds of what is considered orthodox Islam have frozen, except when they have even contracted as in Wahabism (that's the most barbaric Islamic sect, the one that just loves cutting Whitey's head off with pen knives and videoing the event for posting on the internet). Those who try to push the fundamentals of Muslim thought out farther into the light of modernity very often pay with their lives.




Western civilisation owes NOTHING to dirt-bag, murderous Muslim swine or their religion. Rather, to sum up the essentials of the tremendously complex question of the origins of Western civilisation, I agree with those historians who say that the West arose from two fountainheads (1) the (spiritual) city of Athens in classical antiquity, and (2) the spiritual city of Jerusalem. From Athens and the ancient Greeks came reason/rational discourse; from Jerusalem, the Christian religion/church. When you add (1) to (2) stand back, dude, because the mixture is pure cultural dynamite, and ANYTHING can happen! ANYTHING you can dream of is possible !
